Ian's Deal or No Deal Game Report 09/01/11
Noel tells everyone to go for it as these are great times in the Dream Factory. He asks if we want to know some secrets, and reveals that Jenna has a tattoo but won't say where it is, Zowie loves wrestling and would be known as the Boston Strangler! Derrick comes from Jamaica, and has his own airbag which he wears inflated at all times!
Ian has box 10 today. Ian is a police dog handler from Reading. Ian shows us some of his pics from work with his dog Harley. We also see a pic of his mum and dad, his mum and girlfriend is in the audience for support today. Ian says that money isn't the most important thing in life, but he would like to win enough to get a house deposit. He would like to think that the Banker couldn't get under his skin, and his mum and girlfriend says that he never gets angry, but Noel warns Ian that the Banker will be making an effort to change that today!
Round 1
16 - £15,000 Tracey
£15,000 is fine says Noel. Tomas next and he gets confused about what day it is, as Noel says yesterday was Saturday and no one was around yesterday. The Banker then calls and says he doesn't know what anyone is on about as yesterdays game was actually earlier this afternoon
19 - 50p Tomas
11 - £1,000 Zowie
5 - £100 Claire
13 - £3,000 Irene
Banker time
That was a good opening round says Noel, although he tells the Banker that he is totally confused over what day it is now. The Banker talks about Ian never getting angry and asks if Ian thinks he can get him angry.
Banker's offer:
£22
He's having a go says Noel. Ian says that this is OK as the Banker is making things easy for him
Ian says
NO DEAL
Round 2
9 - £5,000 Matty
17 - £50 Scott
7 - £10 Mia
Banker time
The Banker says he has changed his tune now and doesn't want to get Ian angry as he has seen him angry in the past and doesn't like what he saw, as at Ian's audition he was asked what he would do if he was angry and show how he would react, the Banker then shows Ian audition video where he tries to get angry with someone!
Banker's offer:
£18,000
Noel tells everyone to look at the stack of reds and that is why the Banker made that offer. Ian's mum thinks the first offer was a total joke, but the Banker now knows where Ian's game is going. The Banker calls and says he can see by looking at Ian's mum where he gets his looks from, but he has no idea where he gets his brains from!!
Ian says
NO DEAL
Round 3
Ian points at the stack of reds and says that there is just no way he can walk away from that.
1 - £750 Georgina
Ian looks at Jim and wonders if he should go to him as he has destroyed so many games!
8 - £5 Jim
6 - £50,000 Jenna
Banker time
You've now got a gap there says Noel, although it is still looking pretty good. The Banker is convinced that Ian will go on as long as the board gives him a chance to, and he can't take that risk.
Banker's offer:
£22,000
Rina tells Ian that is a very tempting offer, but he still has a really strong board. Ian's girlfriend tells him that the Banker is now starting to take him seriously, but that is still a great board.
Ian says
NO DEAL
Round 4
Noel wonders what on earth is going to happen in this round.
20 - 1p Rina
Noel says this could turn out to be one of the most sensational games of the past few months
15 - £20,000 Sherilyn
Tony next, but he thinks Ian should leave him for the moment.
3 - £250 Tony
Banker time
Wow, you have to feel pleased with that says Noel. The Banker talks about Neil the last police dog handler on the show and how he also had 4 of the power 5 at this point and he dealt and then went on to take out the top 3 in the next round.
Banker's offer:
£26,000
That is very interesting says Ian, and he is just about to say he was expecting a little more, but the Banker calls and interupts him. The Banker says that at the moment Ian does have the power, but if Ian has the slightest slip he will then have control, he then asks to speak to Ian. Ian tells him that £26,000 is a good sum of money, but if he was sat at home watching he would expect a higher offer, and would think the offer would be around £30,000. The Banker then makes a new offer.
NEW OFFER
Banker's offer:
£28,000
Ian gets advice from his mum and the wings. Jim tells Ian that all the big wins have only been won by people who have dared to play on, and you can only win the big amounts by playing on.
Ian says
DEAL
Noel says Ian is looking pretty happy at the moment, but wonders if the Banker has played a brilliant mind game there by talking about Neil's game, and Ian could have made a big mistake by instead of taking out the 3 highest amounts next, he could take out the 3 lowest amounts!
Noel talks about 2011 being the year of missed opportunities so far as people have made the wrong decisions and walked away from the chance to win big money, and Ian has probably had the best chance of winning big so far.
Round 5 - Proveout round
12 - £100,000 Newbie Beryl
4 - £1 Hannah
Who clapped asks Noel! Ian picks Derrick next but the Banker calls first and says this needs to be the £250,000 as otherwise Ian would have made a big mistake!
21 - £75,000 Derrick
Banker time
That wouldn't have been enough says Noel, but it is spooky that you have nearly done the same as Neil did in his game.
Banker's offer would've been:
£35,000
Round 6 - Proveout round
22 - 10p Andy
Wow says Noel, that would have been the perfect start.
2 - £35,000 Dave
The Banker calls and says that would have been offering £4,000 if the next box is the £250,000, but £94,000 if Ian found the £500 next.
14 - £500 Dale
Banker time with £10,000 and £250,000 remaining
Oh no, that is unbelievable, incredible says Noel.
Banker's offer would've been:
£94,000
Noel opens Ian's box 10 and reveals £250,000
Absolutely incredible says Noel, 2 games in 2011 could have produced a jackpot win and yet we can find no one who wants to go on and win it.
Box 18 with Grace contains the £10,000
Ian apologises that he couldn't go on and win the £250,000 as there are contestants on the wings who could have won the jackpot today.
