Mark says that number means a lot to him, so he asks the bloke for another number and he goes for 9! The banker rings and says that normally it's the wrong thing to do when a contestant changes their mind, but there's no precedent for a pilgrim changing their mind.

Banker time
The banker says he's adding £1k to the offer because Mark is so direct.

Banker's offer:
£21,000

Mark's girlfriend says that's amazing, but it's not Mark's target. He says he'd advise someone to no deal if they were playing this game, and then he asks if he can have a word with the independent adjudicator. The banker rings and says he always tries to look for the smallest amount to offer, and he's starting to get a feel of what Mark's target is.

NEW OFFER
Banker's offer:
£23,000

Gordon reminds Mark what Nyomi said yesterday about having a slice of a cake, rather than the whole cake. Noel reminds us that Mark advised her to stuff her face with cake!
