As can be seen on the image above the Deal or No Deal studio has had quite a radical makeover and now also includes 'DEAL' indicator lights next to all the contestants on the wings, so they can show whether would deal at any stage during the player's game. There is also a stats board in the studio displaying the show number, and how much the Banker has paid out in total.

The biggest change to the game-play for the New Year is the introduction of Box 23. This new box adds an extra dimension to the end of game, by giving the contestant the option of buying Box 23 at the end of their game with whatever amount they have won.

Box 23 is randomly filled at the start of the game by the independent adjudicator with one the following five options:

• Double
• +£10,000
• Money Back
• Half
• Nothing

As you can see, this now gives the Deal or No Deal contestants a potential top prize of £500,000, but does have a big downside of going home with nothing.

Will anyone ever be brave or bold enough to take a chance at gambling £250,000 to potentially win £500,000?

Banker time
The Banker says he has been looking forward to Esher's game, and he would love to ring her bell

Banker's offer:
£8,500

Richie says that he loves the shape of this board and Esher is in a really strong position here.
NO DEAL

Round 3
2 - £10,000 Mahmoud
What about that says Noel, this is one of those sensational games. Esher is in tears as Noel talks about the sensational board with 4 of the power 5 still in play. The Banker says that the chances of Esher doing what she just did is less than 2%

Noel plays around with values of what the offer isn't.

Banker's offer:
£60,000

Richie says that is a big offer, and he has gone into his shell a bit on this board. Lamin says if it was his game he would play on here.

Esher says
NO DEAL

Round 6
Noel talks about how everyone knows how hard Esher has to work as a bus driver, and that couldn't have been easy to turn down.

Banker time with £1,000 and £75,000 remaining

Banker's offer:
£28,000

Esher talks about the feeling she has about box 21, and Noel says that she could ask the Banker if he would offer the SWAP, but the Banker calls and says that he won't offer the swap.

Esher says
NO DEAL

Noel does a big build up before opening the box, and then the Banker calls and changes his mind

Banker's offer:
SWAP

Esher says
SWAP

Noel takes box 7 away from Esher and gives her box 21

Noel opens Esher's box 21 and reveals £1,000

Sheri with box 7 contains the £75,000

Noel welcomes us to the first ever celebrity special of Deal or No Deal, and there are some special titles which feature a giant phone attacking Noel. Noel talks about the varying games that the show brings, and he wonders how celebrities will play the games because they'll be playing for charity.

We get to see a video which features Jimmy Carr talking about being on the show.

Jimmy says he can't believe his luck and thinks it's really weird! Noel says anyone can stand up and make people laugh, but DoND is a very complex game! Jimmy says today's box-openers are comedians from Britain's comedy circuit, and Noel says it should be the funniest show ever.

The goldfish-bowl of balls are brought out for Jimmy to choose a box, and he randomly chooses BOX 22.

Round 1
Jimmy says he's thrilled to be playing with the death box. He chooses Adam first, and he talks about his worst ever comedy gig!
2 - Adam - £10
5 - Jojo - £100,000
Jimmy asks Mick what he thinks about his box, and he says he only agreed to be on the show as he thought Alan Carr was playing.
17 - Mick - £5
8 - Tom - £1,000
9 - Alistair - £5,000

Banker time

Banker's offer:
HOLIDAY BRIBE

Jimmy says he can't go on holiday as he has shows to do - proper comedy shows, not daytime shows. Jimmy says if the banker works for him, he'll put him on-screen! The banker rings back and also offers a diamond bracelet to Jimmy's girlfriend!

Banker's offer:
BLING BRIBE

Jimmy says his girlfriend would sleep with the banker to get that, as the ring is worth £10,000. The banker rings back and says deal! He then rings again and says the ring will be engraved so it can only be sold to Piers Morgan.

Jimmy says
NO DEAL

Round 2
3 - Nick - £15,000
14 - Suzi - £3,000
13 - Stephen - £250,000

Jimmy says he's tempted to deal, and Mike says that's a good idea with Jimmy's present form! Ian tells Jimmy that he's come this far, so he may as well go on and *beep* it up totally. Jimmy asks for a sweep, and Justin says the walk of wealth looks like a massive penis! Tiffany says if Jimmy goes on, they'll raise money through their gigs. £14,000

Justin says he thinks there's £35,000 in the box, and Mick asks how Jimmy would feel if he dealt and had £35,000 in the box. Jimmy wonders if the banker will up the offer, and Noel says you have to be careful when doing that, but Jimmy says the banker will save £15,000 if he deals at £20,000 and there's £35,000 in the box! The banker rings and says Jimmy doesn't have the guts to go to the end.
Noel says we could have a Banker Spanking here.
Box 18 with Maria - £250
Box 15 with Bob - 1p
This can't be 10p, says Noel.
Box 7 with Alan - 10p

Banker time with £15,000 and £35,000 remaining.

You walked away from one of the best finishes for ages, says Noel.

Banker's offer would've been:
£24,000

Noel reveals £35,000 in Niko's Box 22!

You were right with your prediction, says Noel.

Box 20 with Jan contains £15,000.

A big sum on the table, and it's still a heartbreaker, says Noel. Noel thanks Niko for entertaining everyone.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23369592.post-49936638342767413382012-03-22T20:49:00.001+00:002012-04-16T20:54:59.187+01:00Dan's Deal or No Deal Game Report 22/03/12Dan has box 5 today. Daniel Adams, from York, has a ludicrously long-winded job title. He works for Leeds Council, supporting people with mental health to gain confidence through physical activity. He eats 5-6 meals per day, apparently, and spends an awful long time at the gym too. "Clearly you're fit, and I mean that in the physical exercise sense," Noel says, before flirting with Dan's significant other!

We see a photo of him shirtless with his partner on holiday, and the Banker phones up right away to jokingly say that he only bought the pic so we could all see his pecs! Also with him - a child's shoe, his first shoe apparently when he was a baby. He's been involved in two house fires, and this is one of the very few things he has left from his childhood, so that's his lucky charm for the game.

Round 1
Dan says he will keep 22 to the end as it's a significant number in his life. 18 and 12 are also to be kept late to the game.
11 - £3,000 Craig
Dan considers Eugenia with 17. He then applies Mally Logic to ask who had the £250k yesterday.
17 - 50p Eugenia
Dan jokes that Wade looks like Tom Daley on steroids! Noel wants this to be the 1p!
1 - £10,000 Wade
8 - £75,000 Bob
16 - 10p Becky

Banker time...
The Banker's first remarks: "Well, at least he kept his top on!" His partner is likened to Nicole Scherzinger, and there's an awful joke about how if she could sing sitting down she'd be Nicole Chairsinger!

More pertinently, the Banker thinks Dan is an excellent board reader, and thinks that there would be an inquiry if he had the £250k after today's introduction!!

Banker's offer:
£10,010

Dan says that a five-figure offer is always a tempter.

Dan says
NO DEAL

Round 2
4 - £750 Paula
3 - £250,000 Kev
Noel jokes at least this means the show will air tomorrow!
20 - £500 Phyl

Banker time...
Noel talks about the run of low amounts on the table. The Banker talks about how Phyl takes a newspaper into the toilet at the hotel! She can't believe anyone was watching her!!

The Banker says the £250k going makes the £75k hit in round 1 more significant.

Banker's offer:
£5,010

Tutting all round at the offer. Dan points to the mid-red block and suggests that there's "got" to be more than £5,000 at the table (9/14 chance you're wrong, Dan! )

Dan says
NO DEAL

Round 3
Dan has an odd anecdote about taking someone's teeth out accidentally with an ironing board! Dave talks up the prospect of a Power 5 on the table, and Noel compares his stance to a vulture!
13 - £15,000 Dave
6 - £20,000 Joan
12 - £5 - newbie Gemma

Banker time
Noel says that one meant a lot to Dan. The Banker thinks this might be taken...

Banker's offer:
£8,010

Dan says it's very difficult to take the first offer. He sees round 4 as pivotal. Ellie (his girlfriend) says "there's eight blues", then clarifies saying there's "eight low ones" (£1k and £5k count as disposable). Dan considers the possibilities for the next round and the edit is making look like he's given this some thought. Despite having turned down more earlier, he's calling this "the biggest gamble I've ever made".

Dan says
NO DEAL

Round 4
19 - £5,000 Niko
Dodgy camera shot meant we only saw the red at first, not the number!
2 - £100 Kelly
21 and 7 are being considered next. Noel suggests that players haven't been confident lately.
21 - £35,000 Antonia

Banker time
Noel describes the 8-box board as "frightening" given the 5-3 colour balance towards the blues. The Banker's interpretation is that Dan's ethos is "feel the fear and do it anyway".

Banker's offer:
£7,810

Noel muses over the very small drop. Dan wonders if a stick or near-stick suggests it's time to Deal. Maria makes a neutral contribution, and Gemma talks about the regret balance. Dan says he does like to gamble, though of course that's not for these stakes!

Dan says
DEAL

Round 5 (proveout)
7 - 1p Maria
Dan seems at least as annoyed that he'd have got a much better offer picking that in round 4! Dan thinks the offer might have been £13k - the Banker confirms as much.
14 - £1 Jan
9 - £10 Al

Banker time...
Noel can hardly believe that, and takes several seconds of shocked reaction before he can even approach a guilt trip...

Banker's offer would've been:
£20,010

Round 6
10 - £250 Bastian
15 - £50,000 Alan
Dan says he could deal with taking £7,810 when it could have been £20k, but not if there was a possible £40k.
18 - £100,000 Martin

Banker time with £50 and £1,000 remaining...

The Banker is now annoyed...

Banker's offer would've been:
£210

Noel opens Dan's box 5 to reveal £50

Lucy puts her box on the table the wrong way around and takes a while to realise it. Noel has to have a feel of Lucy's shoulder pads. Lucy is from Battersea, London, and is originally from Jamaica. We get to see a picture of Lucy's family. Lucy has her husband in the audience for support and Noel asks if they can cheer him up a bit.

Round 1

Banker's offer:
£10,000

Lucy asks if she could have some water, and Noel asks her if she wants public water, or secret water, and Lucy asks for secret water. Lucy gets all mixed up and thinks she is waiting for the offer, and Noel wonders if the water is actually vodka. Noel says this is a great tactic from Lucy by making the Banker thinking he has gone mad and not made an offer.

Lucy says

Lucy's husband says that he always said you should take the first offer, and Noel says he should have said that about 45 mins ago.
Kirsty is from Birmingham. She has a stage name, because she's a DJ who specialises in hard-house music. Kirsty shows a photo of her family, and she has her boyfriend in the audience. She has a charm bracelet with her that her friend gave her for good luck.

Round 1
Kirsty says she has no system, but she's keeping box 5 for now.
11 - Niko - £5
Sam next, and Kirsty says he's been regularly touching her hands!
6 - Sam - £10,000
16 - Dan - £750
Noel talks about Kirsty's party-piece, and he says she can do it later. Kirsty asks everyone to be quiet while she concentrates on which box to go for! The banker rings and says that made his day, and he wants absolute silence when the next box is opened.
3 - Carly - £50,000
The banker rings and laughs wildly!
17 - Mark - £5,000

Kirsty says she feels she's a good board-reader.

Kirsty says
NO DEAL

Round 2
9 - Al - £10
7 - Eugenia - £20,000

Banker's offer:
£15,000

Kirsty asks for some advice, and Carlos says it's a balanced board. Noel says he thinks the offer is high to get Kirsty to deal, after she's witnessed some crashes. She asks for a sweep, and most of the players would carry on, except Craig, Keith and Eugenia who would deal.

Kirsty says
NO DEAL

Round 3
Noel says it feels like the bad games last week have generated lots of caution. Kirsty performs her party-piece, which involves putting her legs over her head!
10 - Martin - £250
21 - Jackie - 50p
Noel says Kirsty has an excellent attitude towards the board and money.
Banker time
The banker concedes that the board is now in Kirsty's favour.

Banker's offer:
£20,000

Kirsty talks about what the money could do, including putting a deposit on a house. Noel asks the cameraman, and he says Kirsty should go on! She asks the audience who would deal, and only a couple of people put their hands up. Niko says Kirsty is only once here, and Sam tells her not to get phased by the three big ones on the board. The banker rings and says his heart goes out to Kirsty, but he wants her to crash so it'll finish off the other players! Noel says the majority of people who go at the third offer don't get the most money out of their game, but he says that doesn't mean they were dissatisfied.

Kirsty says
DEAL

Round 4 - proveout
Banker time with 10p and £100 remaining...

Banker's offer would've been:
£22.50

The banker says he's disappointed that he's not been able to bring down the whole group.

Noel opens Kirsty's box 1 and reveals £100

Box 5 with Keith contains the 10p

Kirsty says she wasn't ready for her game, but everyone supported her through it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23369592.post-26253134293458156212012-03-09T19:48:00.001+00:002012-03-12T19:50:44.210+00:00Kingsley's Deal or No Deal Game Report 09/03/12Kingsley has Box 9 today. Kingsley explains the meaning of his real name, and Noel teases him about it. He was made redundant from his job as a car salesman; Kingsley says he deserved to lose his job, as he was rubbish at it! He says he had an argument with his wife after finding out he'd got on the show! He has a photo of his wife.

Round 1
This is wierd, says Kingsley.
Keith first, and Noel says he reminds him of Trevor McDonald, then gets him to do an impression!
Box 12 with Keith - £10,000
Martin next, and Noel mocks him over how he plays the tuba!
Box 10 with Martin - £5,000
Box 18 with newbie Al - £5
Kingsley says this is scary! Noel shouts 'BOO!' to scare him!
Box 3 with Niko - 1p
Box 14 with Lucy - £75,000

Banker time...
The Banker screams down the phone in pain, as his hernia has got worse now that Kingsley is playing! He says him and Kingsley are quite similar.

Banker's offer:
£10,000

The Banker says this is 'bear money'. He thinks you have what it takes, says Noel. That's real money, says Kingsley.

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

We've had 'bear money', says Noel, now let's get 'hippo cash'! He then talks about how Kingsley's grandmother has moved back to Nigeria, and how he wants money to allow her to move back to Britain.

Round 2
Box 6 with Eugenia - £3,000
Box 5 with Carly - £100
Jan next, and Kingsley says he'd like to move to Cornwall. Noel engages in more Cornwall talk with her.
Box 15 with Jan - £10

Banker time...
The Banker is having more hernia trouble. He says it is actually 'bare money', not 'bear money'!

Banker's offer:
£15,000

Noel runs through what Kingsley would like to do with the money. Phyl says she thinks there's too many reds for Kingsley to stop now, then says she can't see the board!

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

Round 3
Box 1 with Dave - £250,000
I had a really good feeling you'd be the first male QM winner, says Noel.
Box 13 with Carlos - £35,000
Who clapped that, says Noel! Don't do a Damien, he says.
Box 16 with Phyl - £250

Banker time...
The Banker says Kingsley has a lot of charm.

Banker's offer:
£5,000

Kingsley talks about how he wants to buy a car for his wife.

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

Round 4
Box 20 with Craig - £1
Box 11 with Jackie - £15,000
Now that's an interesting configuration, says Noel.
Box 4 with Kirsty - £500

Banker time...
Tricky decision ahead, says the Banker.

Banker's offer:
£12,000

Wasn't expecting that, says Kingsley. Keith says 12k is real money. Jan says he could do what he wants to do with that money, including getting a holiday in Cornwall! Kirsty tells him not to focus on the big sums too much, as some games have fallen apart recently.

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

Noel confims Kingsley said 'NO DEAL', as he muttered his answer under his breath. Noel says a lot of people in the studio thought Kingsley was going to deal.

Round 5
Box 8 with Dan - £100,000
Echoes of Damien, says Noel.
Box 21 with Donna - £750
Box 22 with Mark - £50,000

Banker time...
Now you're in all sorts of trouble, says Noel. The Banker recognises it took courage to turn down 12k after yesterday.

Banker's offer:
£1,000

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

Round 6
Kingsley goes for Carl, but then changes his mind. Noel tells him to keep focussed.
Box 2 with Kelly - 10p
Best possible start, says Noel. Now keep your confidence up, he says.
Box 19 with Joan - 50p
Box 17 with Sam - £20,000

Banker time £50 with £1,000 remaining.

Banker's offer:
£250

You're squarely in damage limitation, says Noel.

Kingsley says:
NO DEAL

The Banker calls and offers the swap.

Kingsley says:
NO SWAP

Noel reveals £50 in Kingsley's Box 9.

Box 7 with Carl contains £1,000.

Wasn't meant to be, says Kingsley. Noel thinks the game got away from Kingsley late on, and how this is the second game running where a crucial no deal led to a crash. Kingsley is gutted he didn't take 12k. Noel says he hopes the regret doesn't stay too long.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23369592.post-28252139425095677052012-03-08T19:00:00.001+00:002012-03-12T13:09:24.581+00:00Damien's Deal or No Deal Game Report 08/03/12Damien has box 5 today. Damien is a fire station watch manager, and he talks about his role in the fire service and how he is involved in training recruits. Noel asks him about his job and how the crews cope with the waiting for the unknown. Damien shows us a photo of his 2 children, but doesn't have anyone in the audience for support today.

Damien doesn't have any system or strategy, although his boss did tell him to keep box 11 until the end.

Round 1
Damien thinks the first 3 boxes set the tone for the rest of your game, so he is hoping for a good start.
22 - £750 Keith
9 - £500 Dave
10 - £3,000 Kelly
20 - £5 Joan
8 - £10,000 Lucy

Banker time
The Banker says he is not good with firefighters, and is worried he will have to pay out a lot of money again today.

Banker's offer:
£14,000

Damien says
NO DEAL

Noel says that on Damien's first shift as a firefighter he slept through an emergency bell!

Round 2
7 - £50 Sam
17 - £15,000 Newbie Eugenia
18 - £35,000 Craig

Banker time
That was a critical box, and it is 4-all now says Noel. The Banker says he has been watching Damien very carefully and he is a good reader of the board, and a lot of his advice has been to no deal.

Banker's offer:
£17,500

Damien says that just one word gets him £17,000 in the bank and that is incredible.

Damien says
NO DEAL

Round 3
Noel says that Damien has a note in his file that says he lives for the moment.
3 - 10p Phyl
4 - 1p Carly
Noel wonders if Damien can find the 50p and make a perfect round
14 - £50,000 Carl

Banker time
The top 3 are still in place says Noel, and he thinks Damien still has the advantage. The Banker thinks the only chance he has to buy Damien is when the board becomes unstable, and it isn't at the moment.

Banker's offer:
£22,500

Damien says that he always said if he had the top 2 in play he would play on, and he has the top 3 in play, but......

Damien says
NO DEAL

Round 4
12 - £250 Carlos
1 - £10 Jackie
15 - 50p Niko

Banker time
That could not have been better, and look at that 8-box says Noel. The Banker says he hasn't got the board that would allow him to buy Damien, and the only chance he stands is to come up with a figure that shocks Damien out of the chair.

Banker's offer:
£40,000

You got a jolt there says Noel, and Damien says that is ridiculous. Damien goes to Keith for some advice, and he tells him that £40,000 is real money. Kirsty says that to win the big money you have to take a chance, but you also have to know when to stop. The Banker calls and says that he knows that when Damien said he would always play on with the top 2 still there he was not playing games, but Damien has another top 2 that are more important than those figures, and those are his 2 children. Damien talks about how the show has the chance to change your life. He talks about how his life has changed so much over the past year, as his fiancee split up with him and he now lives between his work and his parents house, and doesn't see his children as much as he would like, and that offer would change things so much for him.

Damien says
NO DEAL

Noel says this is a very important moment in Damien's life now, and he has had some big changes in his life recently.

Round 5
16 - £250,000 Dan
13 - £75,000 Mark
2 - £100,000 Kingsley

Banker time
What are the chances of that asks Damien, as he repeats £40,000 a few times. Noel says that Damien is only the 5th person to do that. The Banker says that was genuinely one of the funniest things he has seen.

Banker's offer:
£1,040

Damien says
NO DEAL

Round 6
19 - £1,000 Kirsty
21 - £20,000 Donna
Blimey says Damien.
11 - £1 Jan

Banker time with £100 and £5,000 remaining

The Banker says he doesn't know if he has enough energy to make an offer as he has been laughing so much

Banker's offer:
£1,313

Damien asks if he would get the SWAP. The Banker calls and says he would.

Damien says
NO DEAL

Noel asks
SWAP or NO SWAP

Damien says
SWAP

Damien now has box 6, and Noel opens it and reveals £100

Martin with box 5 contains the £5,000

Lynn has box 19 today. Lynn is a freelance structural engineer from Portsmouth, and she talks about how she originally went to sign up for a beauty course but started chatting to the tutor on the engineering course and signed up for that course instead. Lynn talks about what her job involves. Lynn shows a picture of herself and sisters doing the Great North run, and talks about her late dad. Lynn has her partner in the audience for support, and talks about the rekindled relationship they have.

Round 1
Newbie Phyl first, and Noel asks her about being a not very good policewoman, and she says she was hopeless for 5 years!
17 - £250 Newbie Phyl
22 - 50p Martin
13 - £50 Jan
We like this says Noel.
4 - £50,000 Sam
18 - £10 Kelly

Banker time
That was very nearly sensational says Noel. The Banker tells Noel's family to give themselves a round of applause for fighting their way into the studio today, and the Banker then asks all the DoND team who are in the audience to stand up, and about half the audience stand up.

Banker's offer:
£10,750

Lynn says she is tempted by this, but Noel tells her not to deal as the weather is horrible outside and she would be better off to stay in the warm studio for a bit longer.

Lynn says
NO DEAL

Lynn talks about applying for the show and how you can't help to think about how you would use any winnings, and how her dreams have changed over time, and now she would like another baby, and possiby move.

Round 2
8 - 1p Carlos
7 - £5 Kirsty
Noel says that looks rather splendid.
12 - £3,000 Carly

Banker time
The Banker says there is only one good bit of news for him, and that is that Lynn doesn't want money, just a baby, and offers her 20 minutes outside instead of money!

Banker's offer:
£18,000

Lynn says she thinks she might be sick.

Lynn says
NO DEAL

Round 3
Lynn is worried that Noel has jinxed the next box so gets him to spin around 3 times
1 - £15,000 Keith
15 - £20,000 Lynn

Banker time
You've made a hole in the reds now says Noel. The Banker says he finds Lynn fascinating and has been watching her since being on the wings, and she has been quite difficult to read.

Banker's offer:
£22,500

That is massive says Lynn, and Kirsty says that she has to start thinking now. Lynn gets more advice from the wings. Jan thinks the Banker is just like the Cornish as he has pitched a very clever offer, and there are lots of clever people in Cornwall. Lynn gets even more advice from the wings about the possible outcomes if she plays on...

Lynn says
DEAL

Round 4 - Proveout round
9 - £500 Joan
3 - £1 Jackie
11 - £100,000 Carl

Banker time
Noel wonders how much movement there will be in the offer now.

Banker's offer would've been:
£26,000

Round 5 - Proveout round
20 - £35,000 Dan
5 - £250,000 Kingsley

Noel opens Lynn's box 19 and reveals £1,000

Niko with box 10 contains the £750

Lynn says she can do so much with that money, and can even move back home to Newcastle with that and give herself some security.

Chris is an accountant in a street-lighting company, and she speaks a bit about her job. She has her daughter and sister in the audience today, and she explains how she met her husband Keith. We get to see a photo of Chris's grandsons, and she says she's well-known for talking.
