Craig's Deal or No Deal Game Report 23/11/09
Noel runs through Mike's game yesterday and says how the show often changes people's lives.
Craig has box 5. Craig is from Workington, and is a primary school science teacher. His dad is in the audience, and Noel says he looks more like his brother! Craig explains that he's always been known as Dennis the Menace, and he has a Gnasher soft toy with him. We get to see some pics of his family and his girlfriend. Noel says Craig's life sounds idyllic!
Round 1
Ronnie is poorly again today so Ryan will open his box for him.
Craig says he had a dream that certain boxes were blue, so he's picking those boxes first.
17 - Corinne - £50
16 - Andy - £100
20 - Andrew - £5
Box 13 appeared in his dream as a blue, but it's a special number for him and he isn't sure whether to open it.
13 - Carl - 50p
22 - Bert - £20,000
Banker time
Craig says that was good as he only hit 1 red. Noel teases the banker about being outwitted by a 7-year-old yesterday! The banker says Craig's idyllic lifestyle makes him sick and he says he's a horrible, sickly urchin!
Banker's offer:
£9,100
Craig says
NO DEAL
Round 2
Craig says he's no first rounder!
8 - Monique - £500
10 - Katie - 10p
6 - Bev - £1
Banker time
Banker's offer:
£14,000
Craig says that's a nice sum of money but he'd like more so he could have a good set-up for him and his girlfriend.
Craig says
NO DEAL
Round 3
Craig's trying to visualise the rest of his dream...
7 - Ronnie (opened by Ryan) - £1,000
15 - Clare - £5,000
9 - Rob - £3,000
Banker time
Noel says Craig should be happy, and he's pleased that the pilgrims didn't groan loudly at that round! The banker said that's because they're too busy being sick! He comments on how Craig's dad looks at him with pride, and he asks what that's like.
Banker's offer:
£19,000 + a bucket for every single pilgrim
Harry offers some advice, and Monique says he should remain positive.
Craig says
NO DEAL
Round 4
Noel says he can feel the atmosphere of Mike's game now. Craig says he's expecting a casualty in this round now.
19 - Charmaine - £15,000
Noel and Craig initiate another Harry/Hull exchange...
2 - Harry - £100,000
Noel talks about what a great game this is so far.
14 - newbie Freddie - £50,000
Banker time
Noel says that round will have given the banker some hope. The banker says the average has gone down after that excellent round for him. He says Craig looks like a frightened little boy trying to be a grown-up! He says this is the maximum that Craig will get out of the game and he should be man enough to take it.
Banker's offer:
£19,000
Craig says that means the banker's running scared, and he says the banker is double-bluffing for sticking. The banker phones back and speaks to Craig, and says he's not scared of Craig, and would only be scared of him if he was in front of him at the buffet cart! The banker also speaks about the averages, and how Craig's offer and average is less than Mike's yesterday.
Craig thinks the offer should be nearer the average, more like £22,000. The banker phones back and says the board will swing in one direction after this offer.
Craig says
DEAL
Round 5
Noel says he thought Craig may have pushed it one more. Craig reveals that in his dream, his own box was a blue!
18 - Emma - £250
"Uh-oh!" says Noel...
1 - Angela - £75,000
3 - Peter - £250,000
Banker time
Noel says that's brilliant and the banker says he has to commend Craig for not allowing him to get under his skin. He says he thought Craig's dream had a red in his box.
Banker's offer would've been:
£6,000
Round 6
21 - Michelle - £10
11 - Flo - £750
We're right on the edge now, says Noel.
4 - Gillian - £35,000
Banker time with 1p and £10,000 remaining
Noel says this is officially a banker spanking. The banker admits that it was he who was the little boy here...
Banker's offer would've been:
£1,000
Craig has 1p in his box 5
Box 12 with Ryan contains the £10,000
Craig says he'll put the money towards a mortgage, a holiday and some other things...
