Wayne's Deal or No Deal Game Report 01/12/11

Wayne has box 9 today. Wayne is from Somerset, and is a software developer, and Noel thinks that sounds exciting. Wayne explains a bit about his job. We get to see a picture of Wayne with his first daughter who was born premature, and another of Wayne dressed in a dress when he was at Reading festival, and a photo of his 3 children. He has a card that his children made for him for good luck. Wayne says that 9 is his lucky number, so he was glad he had it today. He has his mum in the audience for support today.

Round 1
Wayne says that he has a little pattern that he is going to follow so he isn't distracted by numbers and people.
4 - £15,000 Lawrence
22 - 50p Nicola
Noel asks if anyone has found the pattern yet. The Banker calls and thinks Wayne will pick Kim with box 7 next. A pilgrim figures out it is every 6th box.
7 - £50 Kim
8 - £100,000 Andria
18 - £5,000 Daphne

Banker time
The Banker says that he was very pleased to see the back of November.

Banker's offer:
£9,000

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Round 2
5 - £75,000 David
13 - £50,000 Daniela
19 - £250,000 Steven

Banker time
That really took my breath away says Noel, and that was the worst possible round. The Banker says that December has always been his favourite month, and he was terrified at the start of the game he didn't see any of Wayne's introduction.

Banker's offer:
£9

Noel thinks that could be one of the biggest drops that they have ever had on a pro-rata basis.

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Round 3
17 - £5 Elaine
Noel asks Wayne about his system and Wayne says that he is doing little blocks and then skipping some. Noel then starts skipping around the studio!
1 - £250 Cat
6 - £10 Emma

Banker time
This is going to be a long haul says Noel. The Banker describes this as a slow climb

Banker's offer:
£1,900

Wayne says that he had a minimum he wanted to win today, and he wanted to get his wife a new car, so was looking for around £3,000 for that.

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Round 4
11 - £3,000 Elvis
That was the people carrier amount you wanted says Noel.
3 - 1p Phil
20 - 10p Charlton

Banker time
The 2 lowest boxes have transformed your position says Noel.

Banker's offer:
£6,000

Wayne says that he wasn't expecting that, as it is a very dangerous board. Noel asks if there was anything else apart from the car he wanted, and Wayne says he would love to take his family on holiday, he's also had planning permission for an extension on his house but has never had the money to complete the work. Wayne turns to his mum, and she says that part of her is saying to play on. Wayne says that it is weird when you see different people agonising over different amounts.

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Round 5
14 - £1 Clare
10 - £35,000 Newbie Shakira
That is when Deal is really cruel says Noel.
12 - £500 Ian

Banker time

Banker's offer:
£3,000

Wayne says that it is a good offer for the board. Noel says that it is a classic Deal dilemma now, as do you take a lower offer and go home with something, or do you take the risk and play on. Noel goes along the wings and asks the contestants what they would do. Wayne's mum tells him to play on and go for it. Wayne asks for the question, but the Banker calls and asks Wayne to make a mental image of his wife and children in a broken down people carrier at the side of the road on a cold dark December night.

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Round 6
15 - £20,000 Aqsa
That is truly cruel says Noel
16 - £100 Gary
2 - £10,000 Frank

Banker time with £750 and £1,000 remaining

And that is the way Deal goes sometimes says Noel.

Banker's offer:
£800

Wayne says
NO DEAL

Noel opens Wayne's box 9 and reveals £1,000

Box 21 with Tristan contains the £750

Wayne says he is gutted, but he has a grand towards a new car.
