Dougie's Deal or No Deal Game Report 24/04/11

Dougie has box 4 today. Dougie is from Wales, he has his wife in the audience for support and she talks about how he is rugby mad. He really got into it when he was about 21 and now coaches a youth team. Dougie has a little red dragon with him for a mascot as he has heard the Banker is a little nervous of the Welsh. We get to see a picture of Dougie's children, and another of his late parents.

Round 1
Dougie is keeping box 5,7,8 and 16 to the end.
22 - £5 Fi
Dougie nearly picks on his favourite numbers, so Noel writes them on his hand in permanent marker pen!
2 - £750 Ziggy
3 - 50p Harry
15 - £250 Sue
Dougie again nearly picks one of his numbers, so Noel writes it on Dougie's head!
17 - £100,000 Suzanne

Banker time
The Banker wishes everyone one a happy Easter, and asks Noel if he has had any eggs as he has had lots of eggs today. He chose Dougie to play today as he looks like an egg! The Banker says that the Welsh are trouble and always turning up in Bristol, but the worst thing about them is that they always take his money.

Banker's offer:
£8,500

Dougie says
NO DEAL

Round 2
Al next and Noel asks him why he looks so ill, and Al tells him it is just his look.
10 - £1,000 Al
18 - £100 Abbey
11 - £10 Toby

Banker time
You've really got to be happy with that says Noel. The Banker says that there are too many Welsh pilgrims in today, and that gets a lot of boos

Banker's offer:
£11,750

Dougie says that is a lot of money and nearly a years wages for him. He talks about his job is a vacuum cleaner factory where they refurbish old ones to be resold.

Dougie says
NO DEAL

Round 3

12 - 10p Anthony

Banker time
The Banker says he won't let the offer drop through the floor, as he is terrified of the Welsh and he swapped Noel's marker pen for a non washable one!

Banker's offer:
£11,750

Dougie turns to his wife who tells him she would have dealt the last £11,750 offer so she shouldn't look to her for advise really.

Dougie says
NO DEAL

Round 4
Dougie talks about his daughter who goes to stage school, and he would love to win enough to be able to allow her to go there for another 7 years
1 - £35,000 Sarah
14 - £10,000 Debs
13 - £50,000 Elaine

Banker time
That was an expensive round says Noel. The Banker says that is the worst 8-box with the £250,000 still in it that he has ever seen. The Banker says he is tempted to go in low now, but it could force Dougie on and cost himself a lot of money in the end.

Banker's offer:
£8,000

Dougie says that is a great offer for the board. Dougie's wife says she is not a risk taker, but she knows that he has come to play the game. Dougie gets some advice from the wings, and Anthony tells him he has a big decision now. The Banker calls back when Dougie says he is ready for the offer, he tells Dougie he should think about what Dougie had in his box on Friday, and it was the £250,000, and what are the chances of having it twice. Anthony says he has had it in his box twice in a row before.

Dougie says
NO DEAL

Round 5
19 - £20,000 Andrea
Dougie talks about the big one still being there.
20 - £250,000 Michael
21 - £5,000 Wilf

Banker time
That is the worst possible round says Noel, and this has gone horribly wrong. The Banker says there was less than a 2% chance of that happening.

Banker's offer:
£250

Dougie says
NO DEAL
