Jeff's Deal or No Deal Game Report 20/09/10

Noel says a couple of weeks ago, the banker said we were into a cycle of games where 'random' was planned and there was no such thing as random. Noel wonders if today's player will win £50,000 after 50p and £50 wins...

Jeff has box 6. Jeff is a porter for the NHS and is also a clinical hypnotherapist. Jeff explains there is a difference between a hypnotist and a hypnotherapist, and he explains that hypnotherapy helps with health issues, including smoking, anxiety, depression and phobias, whereas hypnotism is for entertainment purposes. Jeff shows us an old pic of his wedding, and he has his wife in the audience today. We get to see a B&W pic of his dad during his time in the war.

Jeff says he is here today to try and raise some money for the Macmillan Nurses, and to help his son with his new business. We also get to see some more of his family pics. Jeff also has a psychology head with him which shows the difference between the conscious and sub-conscious mind, and he thinks he'll be able to take the weight of money off the banker!

Round 1
Jeff says he has to get rid of 13 first.
13 - Paul - £50
22 - Angela - £20,000
19 - Anji - £100,000
3 - Barry - £250,000
Noel makes comparisons to yesterday's opening round. Noel says today's newbie Marley is the first DoND player to have served in Afghanistan.
15 - newbie Marley - £3,000

Banker time
The banker welcomes Marley, and says he's also the first player to have the same name as one of his dogs, which are named Scrooge and Marley. He says he's worried that Jeff will put him in a trance.

Banker's offer:

Noel says that's the same opening offer as yesterday. Jeff chooses box 1 with Mary before asking for the question! The banker phones and Jeff answers. Jeff tries to convince the banker that he fell asleep while he was asking for the question. He says the banker is revelling in yesterday's game.

Jeff says

Round 2
1 - Mary - £15,000
4 - Erica - £10,000
16 - Jim - £500

Banker time
Noel says this is in the banker's favour but Jeff says he could come back from it.

Banker's offer:

Jeff says that's not bad, considering. Jeff goes to chose another box before he's asked for the question and the banker phones again, and asks if anyone has hypnotised Jeff.

Jeff says

Round 3
14 - Martin - £250
2 - Bharti - £100
8 - Lisa - 10p

Banker time

Jeff says

Round 4
5 - Marshall - 50p
20 - Sue - £750
Noel thinks Jeff has practised DoND in the mirror, and his trained himself to forget the rules!
17 - Howie - £35,000

Banker time
Jeff talks about how he wants to go on a cruise with his wife and help his son with his new business. The banker says Jeff has to be careful on a board like this.

Banker's offer:

Noel says that's actually the top of the game so far. Jeff makes comparisons to other games and wonders if his game will be different. Mary says she'd deal, and Marshall says Jeff should go for it, and the others say that it's his game. Jeff says he's waiting for his wife to throw her handbag at him as a sign to deal. She says she thinks he should deal.

Jeff says

Round 5 (proveout)
Noel says it's very difficult to forget what's happened in past games.
18 - Robbie - £10
12 - Lois - £1
"NO" shouts Noel, and he says this is the perfect round.
11 - Ashlea - £5,000
"NO not good enough" says Noel.

Banker time

Banker's offer would've been:

Round 6 (proveout)
10 - Ammarah - £1,000
"Oh no no no" says Noel.
21 - Therese - £5
Noel says Jeff has blown one of the biggest opportunities if this is the 1p. The banker phones and says this could be one of his best victories ever, and if this is the 1p, he'll give Howie £200!
9 - Ian - £75,000

Banker time with 1p and £50,000 remaining

Noel talks about his £50,000 prediction at the start of the game! The banker says tough luck, Howie gets nothing.

Banker's offer would've been:

Jeff has 1p in his box 6.

Box 7 with Denise contains the £50,000

Noel says Jeff probably has a bit of regret and Jeff says the banker can read people's minds better than he can!
