Andy's Deal or No Deal Game Report 13/09/10

What a game yesterday says Noel, and he thinks there is something to learn from her game, and it is that you are able to increase the Banker's offer in such a way that he doesn't take offence and actually end up reducing the offer.

Andy has box 11 today. Andy is a big poker player and hopes that will help him provide a good battle with the Banker. We get to see a family picture and Andy talks us through the people in it. Andy has his girlfriend in the audience for support today, and she is also a big poker player.

Round 1
The Banker calls before the start of the round and asks when we allowed newbies to play on their first show! Noel tells him that Andy has been here for 19 shows, but the Banker says he hasn't noticed him on the wings! The Banker offers £100 to whoever reveals the £250,00o in the opening round. Andy tells the Banker he will know who he is by the end of the game
16 - 50p Sue
4 - £50,000 Justin
17 - £750 Denise
2 - £10,000 Jim
5 - £250 Janet

Banker time
That told him and he can keep his dirty money says Noel. The Banker says it will be a proper battle today.

Banker's offer:
£10,000

That's a really good offer says Andy.

Andy says
NO DEAL

Round 2
The Banker calls again and says he is not paying £100 for the £250,000 this time, it is now £200
7 - £75,000 Lisa
6 - £500 Barry
9 - £15,000 Max

Banker time
Noel talks about the 1p hanging around til late in the game again.

Banker's offer:
£11,000

That is a really good offer says Andy, but he says he is really confident that he doesn't have the 1p, and the Banker won't be giving away any money to anyone else as he has the £250,000. The Banker calls back and says it is now £300 to whoever reveals the £250,000!

Andy says
NO DEAL

Round 3
10 - 1p Erica
Lois next and Noel asks her what she would do with £300, and she says she would put it behind the bar for everyone to enjoy
12 - £1,000 Lois
14 - £20,000 Ashlea

Banker time
That's a shame about that last one says Noel, and Andy says that it is slowly becoming a 2-box game. The Banker says that there is only one way to play the game against poker players and that is progressive, but tight progressive. Noel says the Banker thought Andy was bluffing, but the comment about a 2-box game has changed his opinion of Andy

Banker's offer:
£14,000

Andy asks if he came here to go home with £14,000. Andy says his girlfriend has plans to complete her masters, and he would like to help with that and hopefully one day marry her. Andy says as a poker player he hates to fold. Andy then goes to the wings for advice, Max tells him to look at the block of blues he has got to pick off, but the £14,000 is a nice sum of money. The Banker calls and says the next offer could be over £20,000, or less than £10,000 which is why he offered £14,000 and Andy should take this.

Andy says
DEAL

Noel says that everyone has been talking about the early deal and if it was the right move, as it is normally a mistake to take a 3rd round deal. The Banker calls and asks for credit for being able to read Andy like a book, he is going to offer £100 to whoever reveals the £250,000 so they can take Andy out for a nice drink tonight.

Round 4 - Proveout round
13 - £100,000 Jeff
20 - £50 Rachel
The Banker calls and says he will offer £200 to whoever reveals the £250,000
21 - £1 Robbie

Banker time

Banker's offer would've been:
£20,000

Round 5 - Proveout round
Marshall next, but the Banker calls and says he doesn't like Marshall so is withdrawing the offer of £300 now and is not offering anything!
22 - £35,000 Marshall
1 - £250,000 Howie
19 - 10p Allan

Banker time

Banker's offer would've been:
£1,000

Round 6 - Proveout round
18 - £5 Ian
3 - £3,000 Bharti
15 - £100 Mary

Banker time with £10 and £5,000 remaining

Banker's offer would've been:
£1,500

Noel opens box Andy's 11 and reveals £10

Newbie Therese with box 8 contains the £5,000

The Banker calls back and says that he withdrew the money before Howie opened his box, so he doesn't get anything, but he asks the pilgrims if they think he should get the £300, and they all say he should, but the Banker says tough luck!!
