Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Ian's Deal or No Deal Game Report 22/09/10

Noel talks about the theme of 50 that is going on at the moment, and runs through how it started. He says he's not saying where he thinks 50 will crop up today.

Ian has box 21. Ian is a student and a self-confessed geek, as he's into computers and enjoys taking them to pieces. He has his girlfriend in the audience today and his Dad and brother. Ian shows a pic of him with his Dad and twin brother, and talks about Nathan who passed away in 2006. Ian explains that he's helping to raise money for a charity involved with heart conditions.

Round 1

Jim now and he tells a joke to guarantee a blue...

The banker phones and says great punchline!

Banker time
Noel says that has a touch of yesterday's game about it. The banker says we're living in extraordinary times, and he gloats about his Old Faithful saving him a lot of cash yesterday.

Banker's offer:
£6,750

Ian tells a story about a bloke in the bar, who said he should deal at the first offer, and he wonders if this bloke was actually the banker!

Ian says

Round 2
Ashlea now, and she says the most memorable thing so far is when Noel touched her!

Banker's offer:
£12,000

Ian asks his Dad who says Ian won't listen to him. Ian says he's playing the board and not the banker.

Ian says

Round 3
Ian says this has never been done before, and he wants the banker to chose his next 3 boxes! The banker phones and says he'll chose the boxes. He then speakers over the loudspeaker in the studio to chose his box numbers. The banker chooses box 1, but Ian says he was keeping box 1!

Ian says the banker's taking out the boxes that he thinks makes the board stronger! The banker chooses box 22 and Ian says that's a significant number for him.
22 - Angela - £75,000

Banker time
The banker says he thoroughly enjoyed that.

Banker's offer:
£4,000

Ian says £4,000 plus the experience is worth about £34,000!

Banker's offer:

Ian says he'll get killed if he goes on! His girlfriend says don't be silly, and Ian says he's only here once.

Noel says this is a massive all-or-peanuts game now.

Banker's offer:
£3,000

Ian says that's a lot of money. His girlfriend says he should keep going. He asks for the question and she then shouts "NO!". She then discusses with Ian which boxes to keep, and Ian wants to keep box 4, and she says he should leave box 9 as it's the date they got together. Ian jokes that's an unlucky day, and she jokes that he's dumped, and the banker phones and asks when she's free.

Ian's about to answer the question when the banker phones back and says Ian can open one more box before the next offer, but that box has to be box 4. Noel explains he's not getting an offer after every box, just an offer after the next box if it's box 4.

Ian says
NO DEAL

Round 6 (part one)
The banker phones and says he forgot to say that if Howie reveals £100,000, Howie gets £200.

Banker's offer:

Ian wonders if he'd go to half the average and Noel says the banker uses some benchmarks but he could go anywhere really.

Banker time with 50p and £100,000 remaining...

Banker's offer would've been:
£31,000

Ian has 50p in his box 21

Box 14 with Lois contains the £100,000

Noel gets his girlfriend to say sorry. Ian says he wanted to crack a joke, but he needs the banker to ring to do it, and the banker doesn't ring!
