Clive's Deal or No Deal Game Report 30/05/10

Noel says he hopes we're having a sumptuous weekend! He says someone has asked him if he knows who's playing in advance, and he says actually yes, he does know. He says today a woman with a colourful past and a dark secret is playing!

Clive has box 1. Clive is retired and is from County Durham. Noel explains he's made a career out of being made redundant, as he's lost many jobs including jobs involving bearings, batteries, paint, radiators and golf! Clive explains that he currently sells golf equipment and he loves meeting new people in his job. Clive has a good-luck chess piece that his son made with him, and his son is in the audience today. Clive also has a soft-toy frog on his box and he tells Noel not to touch it! Clive explains that he decided with his friends that it'd be the lucky charm for his game, and he has various positions for the frog depending on whether each box is good or bad!

Massive groans for that, and Noel pretends the frog is trying to run away.
15 - Ralph - £1,000
21 - Mikey - £3,000
9 - Paul - £10
18 - Autumn - £35,000
Groans again for that, but Clive says it's alright.

Banker time
The banker asks if Clive is a Geordie, and he says what's the difference between a kangaroo and a kangaroot, and he says one is an Aussie animal and one is a Geordie stuck in a lift - "can't get out!!".

More loud groans for that one and Noel says it's really bad luck. Noel says Clive's frog could get distressed. Noel explains that Clive has a theory that the banker is kind, warm, handsome and not at all evil, and is like Noel in many ways!

Banker time
Noel gets Alan to give Clive an elaborate 1p kiss and Noel asks Clive if he tastes of cider. The banker says he's heart-broken at seeing Alan kiss Clive like that!

Banker's offer:

Clive's son Dan says he thought the offer would be nearer £5,000! The banker phones back and says Dan's brain has been wrecked by the aroma of fake tan coming from the girls sitting either side of him in the audience!! The banker calls them Dan and Tan.

Noel says this is a ridiculous way to play the game! Clive picks Rosie but clearly can't count to 3! The banker asks the ladies either side of Clive's son Dan what they think the offer should be and they say £5,000 and £10,000.

Noel says this is a most unusual game as Clive is having no input to the offers! Clive says it's a really good offer, and his son says there won't be much left after a bad round. Clive asks the audience who encourage him to play on...

Noel asks why Clive dresses in his wife's bikini. Clive tells a story of how she let him try on her bikini and she locked him out of their hotel room as a joke.

Noel says the big dream's gone, and the banker says he recognises the sudden change of atmosphere in the studio.

Noel says there's no reason why Clive's box doesn't contain the £10,000.
