Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Irene's Deal or No Deal Game Report 05/02/12

Irene has box 20. Irene is a retired telephonist, and she speaks about what was involved with her job. Noel questions her about whether she listened into the calls she connected, and she says she used to give extra call time to couples who phoned each other. Irene shows a collage of her grandchildren, and introduces us to her husband in the audience. He gets confused and says "good morning" to Noel, and Noel points out it's Sunday afternoon.

Round 1
22 - Mathew - £5,000
Irene says her husband plays snooker, and he once beat Jimmy White. She says she'll keep 1, 4 and 7 to the end, as she dropped her remote control and ended up on channel 147, and it was showing DoND. She's also keeping box 21.

Banker time
The banker says Helen's husband was in his bed for 147 minutes. He points out that Irene took box 1 just now but meant to leave it to the end!

Noel says Irene wants some money for her grandchildren, and also a three-piece suite!

Irene's husband says he wasn't expecting an offer that high. She asks Rich, who says he knows Irene gets what she wants! She asks her husband, who says she should go another round if she wants to. She says she wishes she could get some divine intervention, and a godly voice shouts out her name!

Noel says Irene will be forced to go all the way if she hits the big ones now.
