Peter's Deal or No Deal Game Report 02/01/12

Peter has box 9. Peter is a self-employed gardener, and he has his wife and daughter in the audience. He has one photo with him which is a pic of his wife and daughter in the 1970s. Peter says he got into gardening when he wanted to leave school, and he'd had a little gardening patch when he was a child. He says he's never looked back since starting doing gardening as a job.

Round 1
Peter says he has a strategy, and we may identify it as the game evolves. Ioannis first, and Noel sniffs him as he used to work in a chippy.

Peter says his strategy was to start with short, old men!
13 - Snowy - £50,000
10 - James - £250,000
Peter says he's safe to go with Adam now as the 1p's gone! Noel talks about how Adam is a drag-artist, and Adam talks about his female alter-ego.

Banker time
The banker says he likes growing certain things, but normally stocks and bonds. He says it was James' birthday yesterday, and he knows because he saw Jodi in the hotel buying James a drink, but her card was declined and he had to pay for it! The banker wants to know if Peter has brought his Big Issue!

Banker's offer:
£2,000.50 (the 50p is for a cup of tea!)

Peter says

Round 2
Noel says Peter wants to win money to improve his fuchsia. Noel apologises to Peter for the welcome he got when he was a newbie, as security threw him out as they thought he was a tramp! Peter says he feels wronged because he didn't get to open his box in that show and Shakira opened it!

Banker time
The banker says he feels for Peter because he got thrown out on his first show. He says as Peter never opened his box in his first show, he can open a box in the next round.

Banker's offer:
£4,000

Noel says the banker claimed to have doubled the offer, but it'd be £4,001 if it'd been doubled. Noel says Peter's missed out on £1, and Peter explains to Noel that actually he's missed out on 50p, and Noel explains that it's £1! Peter then says he was never good at school!

Round 3
Noel says no-one's ever been able to open a box during their own game before. Peter then says this could cause problems, because someone's going to miss out on opening a box today, and it'll have a knock-on effect!

Noel says the gardener's in the compost at the moment, to put it politely!
20 - Shakeel - £15,000

Banker time
The banker says he's delighted as it was a disastrous round, and Peter decided not to open a box himself because of the knock-on effect.

Peter gets everyone to BOO the offer! Noel asks what Peter's daughter thinks, and she says we don't want to know!

Peter says he didn't expect a game like this, and the banker says he admires his honesty.

Noel says it's important to focus on the lower reds, and he's certain Peter will make the most of the money, because Peter was aghast that their wedding cost £35, so he cancelled the holiday and bought a food-mixer instead! The banker says Peter is a man after his own heart.

James says Peter is a gambling man, and Shakeel says the board is still in Peter's favour.

The banker says the end part to this game is almost identical to yesterday's.

The banker rings and says Jacques should've swapped yesterday.

Noel swaps Peter's box 9 for Margaret's box 22.

Peter wins £3,000 from box 22.

All the other contestants come out to congratulate Peter, and Noel says that was premature as the final box hasn't been opened! The banker rings and says Peter can go and open the box!

Box 9 - now with Margaret and opened by Peter - contains the 10p
