Carland's Deal or No Deal Game Report 31/01/12
Carland has box 18. Carland is from Plymouth and works for Royal Mail. Carland is married to Katie and we see a picture taken from his wedding day in Dartmoor. Noel asks if he's thinking of expanding his family and Carland says that is one of the reasons he's here to get some extra money to help out any with any future kids. Carland has bought along a red packet and explains it is a Chinese tradition which is usually filled with money as a sign of good luck. Carland's friend is in the audience today.

Carland says he's not sure whether to avoid boxes 22, 14, & 4 for now as 4 means death in Chinese. Number 8 is a lucky number in Chinese tradition.

Carland asks from some advice from Rich and Carland explains that his wife Katie is not a risk taker, which is why she's not in the audience. The Banker then rings up and says that Rich is a good reader of the board and agrees with what he said. The Banker goes on and says if Carland has the perfect round he'd offer around £30,000, but if he had the nightmare round he'd offer less than £1,000 and the Banker says he'd deal at this point as there's more to lose than gain.

Surely not the nightmare round says Noel.

It would be amazing says Noel if the Banker's scenario comes true for the nightmare round.

The Banker says why does no one ever believe him. He says he always tries to make his advice honest.

Carland says it's a good offer for the board. He asks Greg for some advice and says it's a difficult decision. A few others give some advice.

Noel says that's a spectacular gamble and didn't have Carland down as an OHO at the start of his game.

Noel asks Carland if he's willing to take one more risk. He then asks Carland what his wife Katie would think. Mike thinks that his box 8 has the big money in it and that Carland says it's his lucky number.

The Banker rings up and offers the swap

Noel opens Carland's box and reveals £15,000

Noel says Carland looks exhausted and he won't be starting a family tonight.
