Tony's Deal or No Deal Game Report 30/10/11 - Bankenstein's Monsters Halloween Special

Tony's game today. The whole studio is decorated as the laboratory of Dr Bankenstein (Noel), and all the contestants are dressed up as various monsters. Noel tells everyone to keep the noise down and that no-one can touch anything! Noel introduces us to some of his creations on the wings. He also shows us the catapult from the summer specials which has made a return, and it's now firing brains rather than balls of paper!

Tony has box 15. Noel says we'll have a great time as you never know what's going to happen during these special shows. Tony is a fireman from Epping, and he talks about how much he enjoys his job. We see a photo of Tony in the station with the rest of his watch, and another pic of his two children and his wife. We get introduced to his wife in the audience, and they talk about how they bumped into each other in two totally different places which is how they met.

Round 1
10 - Nicki - £750
17 - Sam - £50
22 - Nick - £10
7 - Bob - £5
21 - Syrita - £75,000

Banker time
Noel says the banker is the biggest monster of them all! The banker says everyone looks like they're at Lady Gaga's birthday party. We get to see a pic of Tony before he was done up for the show. The banker reveals he's now passed the £27 million mark in terms of how much he's paid out.

Banker's offer:
£9,000

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 2
Noel says he can't wait to start catapulting brains!
2 - Angela - £10,000

Noel says Aaron's wearing his own clothes.
14 - Janine - £100

Banker time
The banker says he brought back the catapult as no-one managed to successfully use it during the summer specials.

Halloween Catapult twist: If the player gets to 5-box in live play, they can choose to have 4 shots or 2 shots. If they choose 4, and get 1 in, they win a holiday... if they miss, there's no downside. If they choose 2 shots, and get 1 in, they win a holiday AND get to proceed one box at a time... but the downside is that if they miss, the banker looks in their box.

Banker's offer:
£9,000

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 3
19 - Parvinder - £1,000
20 - Jim - £15,000
4 - Julie - £250,000

Banker time
The banker says that was a massive relief. He talks about how fire-fighters have been a problem for him over the 6 years, and he thinks Tony is one of the braver ones. Noel says this isn't a horror show just yet.

Banker's offer:
£5,000

The banker rings and says he didn't like how people didn't really respect the offer. He notes that Tony started the applause though, so raises the offer.

Banker's offer:
£6,000

Tony says that's a good offer and he's seen games go wrong so quickly, but he's only here once.

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 4
12 - Rachael - 1p
5 - Geoff - 10p
16 - Neville - £3,000

Banker time

Noel says that was an excellent round, and the banker says he has to agree. The banker says this will be a difficult decision.

Banker's offer:
£12,000

Tony's wife says it's a very good offer, and that this is a pivotal point. Tony says the offer is making him think, and Noel reminds us of the catapult twist at 5-box, and Tony says he wants to play it.

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 4
Noel runs through the catapult twist again.
13 - George - £250
11 - John - £5,000
9 - newbie Zoe - £100,000
Curse of the newbie, says Noel.

Catapult time

Noel runs through the rules of the catapult twist again. Noel says Tony can have a practice on the catapult, so he has a go and narrowly misses getting the brain in the bin. Noel says that near-miss is why the banker loves the catapult so much.

Tony chooses to have 2 SHOTS. Noel says he's surprised at that!

Tony misses the 1st shot.

Tony misses the 2nd shot.

Banker time

Dr Pettigrew comes out and takes Tony's box away for the banker to have a look in it, as Tony missed both the shots. Noel says this isn't a really bad setback, although the banker will have an advantage now, but Tony is guaranteed the SWAP at the end as the banker's looked in the box. The box is returned with a black seal on it.

Noel says the banker made no reference to what he saw in the box.

Banker's offer:
£2,000

Noel asks what people think the banker saw in the box, and Tony says it's tough. The banker rings back and says he noticed Tony led the applause again, so he tells Tony that he has a blue in his box. Tony says he respects the banker and the money but he's not sure if he's being honest.

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 6
The banker rings and says Tony really should've dealt, as he's got £500 in his box.
8 - Bill - £35,000

The banker rings and says he's giving Tony a lifeline.

Banker's offer:
£2,200

Tony leads the applause and says it's a good offer. Noel wonders if the banker saw £50k in the box and is having a panic now.

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 6 - continued
18 - Jess - £1

The banker rings and pleads with Tony to believe that he has £500 in his box, and he makes an offer now.

Banker's offer:
£4,000

Tony says
NO DEAL

Round 6 - continued

3 - Katie - £500

Banker time with 50p and £50,000 remaining...

Noel says there's a 50/50! Noel tells the banker that he's a liar, and the banker admitted that he lied about the £500, but he says he's now telling the truth and says that Tony has 50p in his box.

Banker's offer:
£17,000

Tony says he thinks the banker has seen 50p in his box, and Noel reminds us that he's guaranteed the swap.

Tony says
DEAL

Banker's offer would've been:
SWAP

Tony says
SWAP

Noel swaps Tony's box 15 for box 6.

Noel opens box 6 and reveals £50,000

Box 15 - now with Kath - contains the 50p

Noel talks about how the banker lied at first then told the truth, and Tony says he's loved all of his game.
