Ruth's Deal or No Deal Game Report 04/03/10
Noel talks about the great games we are having lately and runs through Steve's game yesterday, where Steve said he had a need of money and while the big money was there he was going for it and didn't want the Banker to mess with his head, but the Banker had other ideas and did just that!
Ruth has box 16 today. Ruth is a teacher from Liverpool. Noel tells a story of when Ruth met Princess Diana and she was shocked that Diana knew her name until later on she realised she was wearing a bright yellow name tag Ruth says she would like a deposit for a mortgage as she has been renting for 5 years.
Round 1
17 - £10 Chloe
Newbie John next, and Noel has a quick test for him and asks him what number is on his T-shirt, and John gets it wrong!
20 - 1p Newbie John
Tony next and he says he has to be careful today as it is his 6th show and he is 66! Noel asks if we care
19 - £500 Tony
22 - £20,000 Jessica
14 - £750 Mark
Banker time
That is a good opening round says Noel. The Banker is feeling very smug after Steve's game yesterday.
Banker's offer:
£8,500
Ruth says
NO DEAL
Round 2
10 - £50,000 Roopa
11 - £1 Nicola
18 - £3,000 Shahid
Banker time
The Banker is impressed with Ruth's latin and says she is bringing some class to the show.
Banker's offer:
£9,500
Ruth says that is brilliant
Ruth says
NO DEAL
Round 3
3 - £15,000 Andrew
5 - £35,000 Neide
This is starting to feel an expensive round says Noel.
13 - £250,000 Barbara
Banker time
What a horrible round says Noel, ghastly and horrific! The Banker says it was a wonderful round.
Banker's offer:
£1,000
Big groans for that offer. Dan tells Ruth there is another round in this game.
Ruth says
NO DEAL
Round 4
8 - 50p May
21 - £100 Kristi
12 - £10,000 Brad
Banker time
That was a shame in some respects says Noel as it took the gloss off what could have been a good round. The Banker is not going to underestimate Ruth.
Banker's offer:
£9,000
That is incredible says Ruth, and that would be more than enough. Ruth says the £75,000 on the board would buy her a house outright and leave her mortgage free, but the £9,500 would be a great deposit. Noel points out the offer is actually £9,000 and not £9,500! The Banker calls back and says he will make the offer £9,500
Banker's offer:
£9,500
Ruth gets lots of advice from the wings. The Banker calls back and says there is some good advice coming from the wings, and he sees Ruth standing on the doorstep of her new house with the key in the door. Ruth says she has to be brave.
Ruth says
NO DEAL
Round 5
Ruth goes for a quick round
9 - 10p Dan
4 - £5,000 Michael
6 - £1,000 Jenny
Banker time
The Banker says he isn't going to prolong the agony.
Banker's offer:
£18,500
Ruth says 'I've doubled it.......nearly' Noel says he likes that and wonders if the Banker will call back! The Banker calls back and asks to speak to Ruth. He tells Ruth she should take the £18,500 and not gamble.
Ruth says
DEAL
Round 6 - Proveout round
2 - £75,000 Stacie
15 - £100,000 Huddy
1 - £5 Brian
Banker time with £50 and £50 remaining
Ruth says she nearly played on and is happy that she didn't.
Banker's offer would've been:
£99
Noel opens box 16 and reveals £250
Box 7 with Caine contains the £50
Ruth says she was looking for £7,000 for a deposit, so this is a real bonus
