Mark's Deal or No Deal Game Report 10/03/10
Noel calls this a fascinating time as the Banker has been using unusual tactics with the Banker, but unfortunately the contestants haven't been taking advantage of these, although yesterday Michael did manage to win his twist where he avoided going home with nothing and actually went home with £500. Noel promises something unusual will happen today!
Mark has box 2 today. Mark is a banking team manager. Noel says Mark has become him in the past, and Mark explains they played a game of Deal or No Deal as part of a team building exercise. Mark has a horseshoe with him, and explains a little about how he was given the horseshoe by his wife. We get to see a picture of Mark's wife and also another of Mark and his brother with his late mum.
Noel asks Mark why he is here, and Mark says he is here to play the game and hopefully win a life-changing sum of money. Mark has his friend in the audience for support today.
Round 1
14 - £3,000 May
9 - £1,000 Nicola
This is shaping up nicely says Noel
13 - £500 Tony
5 - £50,000 Kath
7 - £100 Huddy
Banker time
Noel wonders what the Banker will make of Mark. The Banker says that Noel's research was shoddy at the start of the show when he said Michael would have been the 3rd person to leave with nothing, but he would have actually have been the 4th person! The Banker tells Noel to get his researchers out and apologise for their mistake They come out and apologise and as they leave Noel shouts at them to not get it wrong again!!
Banker's offer:
£8,250
Mark says
NO DEAL
Round 2
4 - £20,000 John
16 - £35,000 Chloe
12 - £10 Dan
Banker time
Noel says that Mark has still not hit the Banker's power 5 and that is a problem. The Banker asks if Noel has any toilet duck on him at the moment! He then tells everyone to look to the right as his researchers are cleaning the toilets!
Banker's offer:
£10,000
Mark turns to his friend for advice.
Mark says
NO DEAL
Round 3
11 - £5,000 Newbie Monique
This one has got to be top right says Noel
19 - 1p Neide
3 - £250 Jessica
Banker time
The Banker says that it is a very unusual board Mark has created.
Banker's offer:
£18,000
That is a very good offer and he is clever says Mark. He then goes to Huddy who says he would love to be in Mark's position himself, but there is another round in the game. Andrew says it is a no deal, even though there is a little risk in playing on. Mark says the £18,000 is a lot of money and he could do a lot with it, but Noel says it won't get him his dream of a smoothie bar. Mark gets more advice and struggles with the decision and then the Banker phones back and says he is impressed by the way that Mark is playing the game and analysing the board. Mark says he is trying to think what his mum would be saying at this point. Mark's friend says that if one of the big ones go in the next round it will still not be a major problem.
Mark says
DEAL
Noel and Huddy looked stunned at that decision, and Noel says he is going for a lie down before we continue. He says we haven't had this position for quite a while and Mark is either very astute or incredibly dumb!
Round 4 - Proveout round
18 - 50p Shahid
It would have been almost the perfect start says Noel
10 - £1 Caine
Look at that says Noel!
15 - £75,000 Andy

That won't be enough says Noel. The Banker says he salutes Mark's decision
Banker's offer would've been:
£24,000
Round 5 - Proveout round
1 - £5 Stacie
That would have been a lovely one says Noel
20 - £50 Chris
8 - £15,000 Sonia
Banker time
You have £10,000 and the players dream at 5-box says Noel. The Banker says that this really is a disaster for Mark. Noel says Mark won't like this.
Banker's offer would've been:
£46,000
Round 6 - Proveout round
22 - £250,000 Andrew
17 - £100,000 Roopa
6 - 10p Barbara
Banker time with £750 and £10,000 remaining
Banker's offer would've been:
£4,500
Noel opens box 2 and reveals £750
Box 21 with Brad contains the £10,000
Mark says he never wanted to lose sight of what the £18,000 could do for him and that money will really do a lot for him.
