Roopa's Deal or No Deal Game Report 16/03/10

Noel says he's certain today's show will make our day even better, and he talks about how he thinks the £250k will come to the table soon. He runs through Andrew's game and explains how he got an extra £250 by making his wife pretend to cry.

Roopa has box 12. Roopa is an admin assistant for a housing charity, and she particularly helps teenage mums. She explains how she was introduced to a family friend and got married to him, and they have 1 child. She thanks her parents for finding him for her. We get to see a pic of the wedding ceremony which lasted for days! She also shows a pic of her son.

Round 1
Noel says he likes standing next to Roopa because she makes him feel tall (I know the feeling, Noel )
14 - Liz - £50
5 - Caine - £750
4 - Tony - £1,000
13 - Stacie - £250
6 - Andy - £5

Banker time
Roopa screams with delight at that round. The banker says everyone's taken over the asylum. He says that when Noel and Roopa stand next to each other, it reminds him of a bride and groom standing on top of a wedding cake.

Banker's offer:

Roopa quickly says

Round 2
Noel says Roopa has aspirations to go to California.
15 - Sonia - 10p
8 - Chloe - £500

Banker's offer:

Round 3
22 - Chris - £20,000
16 - Monique - £10,000
10 - Raff - £3,000

Banker time
Noel says that round hasn't really damaged the board as it's so strong. The banker says he's grown to love Roopa but this game is testing his affection for her!

Banker's offer:

Roopa says it's a lot of money and would take her a long time to save it. Noel says few people would contemplate leaving the game with the Power 5 in play BUT if the money will have such a good effect on Roopa, then she must consider it very carefully. She gets rather emotional and Noel has to get his tissues out. Andy, Dan and Ramesh say this is the sort of board that players dream of. Noel blows his nose and says this is emotional.

Roopa says

Round 4
18 - Ramesh - £50,000
19 - Barbara - 1p
1 - Kath - £100,000

Banker time
The banker says he was impressed by Roopa's bravery at the last offer.

Banker's offer:

Roopa says she's done what she was advised to do, and gone on one more round. She says half of her wants to go on but half wants to deal. Shahid says if the money means that much, she should probably deal. Ramesh and Caine also offer some support.

Roopa says

Round 5 (proveout)
2 - John - £35,000
20 - newbie Ciara - £75,000
11 - Dan - 50p

Banker time
Noel says that's not OK because the £250k is still there. The banker says Roopa hasn't made a massive mistake though.

Banker's offer would've been:

Round 6 (proveout)
Roopa says that's a very big thing.
7 - Neide - £5,000
21 - Shahid - £1
Noel says PLEASE PLEASE don't make this £10 or £15,000 now. Roopa gets rather emotional, and the banker phones back to delay things because he's enjoying her crying!!
9 - Brad - £15,000

Banker time with £10 and £250,000 remaining

Noel talks about his £250k prediction! The banker says he's finding this pain entertaining.

Banker's offer would've been:

Roopa's box 12 has £10

Box 3 with Brenda contains the £250,000

Roopa says the £17,500 will do so much for her.
