Matt's Deal or No Deal Game Report 01/06/11

Matt has box 13. Matt is from Bristol, and is a recycling technician, which he says is basically a bin man. We get to see some photos of Matt's large family on a camping trip, and he has a mini box with him that his children made. He opens it for the first time, and it has a "good luck" drawing for him. He says he believes in tarot card reading, as he went to a reader, and things came true that she mentioned.

Matt writes something in the book before the game begins.

Round 1
Matt has no system.

Banker's offer:
£10,002

Matt says it's a lot of money and visualises it in front of him.

Matt says
NO DEAL

Round 3
2 - Daryll - £1,000
17 - Beryl-Anne - £10,000
11 - Annette - £5,000

The banker says this game is about to swing one way or the other.

£10,002

Matt says

Round 4
6 - John - £35,000
15 - Irene - 50p
7 - Sam - £500

Banker time
The banker says he concedes that round went Matt's way, and this is now a tricky offer. He speaks to Matt and Matt says he feels confident that he can take out at least 2 blues now. Matt says the banker wants to know what figure he wants, and he asks Noel for advice, who says the banker might offer it if he tells him, but he doesn't have to tell him.

Banker's offer:
£26,000

Noel says Matt has clearly unsettled the banker. Matt says he wants to put a deposit down on a B&B, and that money would tick that box. He talks about the positive attitude he has about life.

Matt says
NO DEAL

Round 5
Noel says contestants often use the word "positive" and get carried away, but Matt is being sensible with his positivity.
10 - Tony - 10p
Noel builds up the next box by talking about players' dreams...
12 - Anthony - £250,000
4 - Leroy - £5

Banker time
The banker talks about how Matt refused to tell the banker his target earlier. The banker says he'd have offered £30,000 if Matt had said that when he asked him for his target.

Banker's offer:
£17,000

Matt says £17k is a lot of money, and Noel says it's totally possible to take the 3 reds out and have an all-blue climax. Matt asks Ade, who tells him to think of how much money £17k is. G says Matt should deal if the offer ticks his boxes, but if he's a gambler then he should go for it. The banker rings back and says Matt is likely to have a blue vs red finish, and a blue vs £75k finish wouldn't increase the offer much, and blue vs anything else would push it down.

Matt says
DEAL

Round 6 - proveout
Noel says Matt could still go away with a big regret.
21 - Ade - £100
"OOH NO" says Noel. Matt is leaving 14 to the end.
8 - G - £75,000
19 - Zoleika - £15,000

Banker time with £250 and £20,000 remaining...

The banker says he was right!

£7,500

Matt has £20,000 in his box 13.

Box 14 with newbie Hayley contains the £250

Noel reveals that Matt wrote box numbers "4 and 14" in the book, along with a target of £10k - £20k.
