Vel's Deal or No Deal Game Report 02/03/11

Vel has box 1 today.

Vel is a freelance writer, and Vel explains how he has a Serbian surname. He has some Serbian dancing shoes with him, and Vel tells us about the different styles of dancing. He then shows us a picture of him at a Serbian dance show. There is another photo of his daughter Daisy.

Round 1
Vel is going to use a snooker ball system based on the ball colours relating to the contestants clothes colours.
8 - £75,000 Franca
13 - £1 Paul
12 - £5 Barbara
10 - £1,000 Jefferson
6 - £50,000 Andre

Banker time
Wow, that is a fascinating little scenario you have created there says Noel. Noel tells Vel to lie down on the floor as he is fed up looking up at him! The Banker says it is an honour to have a man on the show of Vel's stature and learning instead of the usual riff-raff!

Banker's offer:

Vel says

Round 2
Vel was going to pick Olivia with box 19 as she is wearing pink, but he has a thing about 19, so will leave it until later
11 - 50p Rachel
4 - £750 Dom
5 - £500 Debbie

Banker time

Banker's offer:

That is a lot of money, and can change a lot of things of things says Vel. He says he has never been able to take his daughter out on a shopping spree, and she has never complained or asked for anything, so he would love to be able to treat her.

Vel says

Round 3
17 - £100,000 Stephen
9 - 10p Crystal
22 - £5,000 Danielle

Banker time
Noel asks Vel about his fool-proof way of killing passion in the bedroom, and he does an impression of Michael Winner saying 'Calm dear, it's only my pants!' The Banker says that it is a dangerous board.

Banker's offer:

Vel says that if he was on the wings he would be saying no deal, but it is totally different stood up there playing. Dom thinks there is another round in the game, Debbie says she would play on as well.

Vel says

Round 4
21 - £10 Lee
Vel goes to Olivia next, but Noel points out all the highs values that she has had. The Banker calls and asks Olivia not to let him down again, and Olivia asks when he is going to take her out on a date, and he replies that he will the next time she reveals the £250,000
19 - £20,000 Olivia
2 - £35,000 Fran

Banker time
That is a lot of backup that has gone says Noel.

Banker's offer:

The Banker says that £12,500 would be the highest offer Vel could have if he takes out the £250,000 in the following rounds. Vel talks about the turbulent times he has recently and he has been made redundant a couple of times recently and is now working on his own project of an arts and culture website. Vel says he is drawn to the £250,000, but he had it in his box yesterday and the 1p is still lurking. Noel says this isn't easy. Chris tells Vel to ask the Banker what the offer would be if he has an all-blue round in the next round. The Banker calls back and says he would be reaching for £21,000 again.

Vel says

Round 5
7 - £3,000 Kim
18 - £10,000 Ellen
3 - 1p Archie

Banker time
That was an astonishing round says Noel. The Banker says that was a huge last box.

Banker's offer:

That is serious money says Vel. He goes to the pilgrims who think he should deal. Noel talks about how Vel has personalised the game now and how the pilgrims appreciate what the money means to Vel.

Vel says

Round 6 - Proveout round
20 - £250,000 Newbie Clare
14 - £15,000 Chris
16 - £50 Alex

Banker time with £100 and £250 remaining

I love this game says Noel

Banker's offer would've been:

Noel opens Vel's box 16 and reveals £100

Frank with box 15 contains the £250

You've gone away with the best result in your game says Noel, and Vel says that his daughter Daisy is going to be so thrilled with the result and he can't wait to see her.
