Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Linda's Deal or No Deal Game Report 16/02/10

Noel says this is a milestone, as today's game is 1,250! He says this game is all about numbers and talks about the important numbers that players come with.

Linda has box 6. Linda is from Liverpool. She says she's a lover of poker and can read people and their body language really well. She's currently a literacy and numeracy teacher and is married to her husband Roy. We get to see a pic of her daughters and husband, and another pic of her playing poker at a national competition, which she won! Her daughter is in the audience today.

Round 1
Linda says no-one must feel responsible for what's in their boxes.

Clive now, and Linda says she keeps telling him off for being smutty!

Banker time
Noel picks on a woman in the audience who looks nervous, and she says Noel's too close too her, so he sits on her lap. The banker says congratulations to Linda for playing on the 1,250th show. He claims to have seen Linda at poker tournaments as he's taken part in them and got beaten by her!

Banker's offer:

Linda says
NO DEAL

Round 2
2 - Eddie - £5,000
18 - Zoe - £1
10 - Kim - £75,000

Banker time
The banker says one the joys of poker is watching other people's expressions, and Linda is his ideal woman. However he doesn't want her to cost him a lot of money!

Banker's offer:

Linda says
NO DEAL

Round 3
5 - Kevin - £15,000
20 - Steve - £250
Eric now and Noel says he lives on the B222!
3 - Eric - 10p

Banker time
The banker says he's being very candid as this is not the situation he wanted with a poker player in the chair.

Banker's offer:
£17,250

Linda's daughter says she has more power 5s left than the banker has and that there's one more round in it. The banker calls back and says Linda and her daughter make quite a package! The banker wants Linda to deal, and he calls back and says the board won't look so strong after 3 boxes.

Linda says

Round 4
Noel says that was a meaty offer.

Banker time
Michael comes out on to the walk of wealth to give Linda a big 1p kiss. The banker talks in some poker terminology.

Banker's offer:
£22,250

Noel says the banker is taking her very seriously, and Linda says she's taking him very seriously. Noel says this type of game is the banker's worst scenario. Linda runs through the options of what might happen next.

Linda says

Round 5
Noel says Linda's a realist and knows there's a chance there might be a big hit now.

Banker time
Noel says we were just denied a fantastic climax. The banker's relieved that he got off the hook there.

Banker's offer:
£8,250
Noel says that's the lowest offer of the game and the banker's trying to mind games, and Linda says that's all part of poker. Linda's daughter comes down to the pound table and says it's a really good offer. The banker phones back and says the odds of taking out the £100k are 62.5%. Linda says she hasn't got her head around the fact that someone's about to give her some money for choosing boxes!! She starts thinking about what she could do with the money.

Linda says

Round 6 (proveout)
Noel says it has to be said that he's not much of a gambler but he recognises that sometimes a gambler knows when to stop.

The banker phones says he would have phoned at this point to say the offer would've either been £35 or £35,000 depending on the next box.

Banker time with 50p and £100,000 remaining
The banker says let's call it 1 all!

Linda has £100,000 in her box 6.

Box 19 with Aimee contains the 50p

Linda gets a bit emotional and says she lied, she's not actually that lucky! But she does say the money will do a lot for her.
