Jess' Deal or No Deal Game Report 01/11/11 - Bankenstein's Monsters Halloween Special
Jess's game today. Dr Bankenstein (Noel) says everyone is allowed into his laboratory by invitation only, and they have to adhere to strict rules. He allows us to view some his creations on the wings! He then realises he has a spare brain in a jar, and he talks about how Angela used her brain yesterday to defeat Dr Pettigrew's catapult.
Halloween Catapult twist: If the player gets to 5-box in live play, they can choose to have 4 shots or 2 shots. If they choose 4, and get 1 in, they win a holiday... if they miss, there's no downside. If they choose 2 shots, and get 1 in, they win a holiday AND get to proceed one box at a time... but the downside is that if they miss, the banker looks in their box.
Jess has box 6. We get to see a pic of Jess before she was made up for Halloween. Jess shows a pic of her two dogs who are her life, and then she gets emotional as she shows a pic of her dad who died recently while on holiday. Jess has her "mum 2" in the audience today.
Round 1
15 - John - £75,000
7 - newbie Amy - £50,000
10 - Sam - £15,000
"Oh crumbs", says Noel.
2 - Julie - £1,000
14 - Syrita - £3,000
Banker time
Noel says all-red opening rounds are very unusual. The banker shouts "bingo bingo!" down the phone, as he had a bad start to this week.
Banker's offer:
£500
Jess says
NO DEAL
Round 2
Jess talks about how she'd like to treat her family with any winnings.
16 - Bill - £5
17 - Zoe - £1
11 - Jim - £50
Banker time
Banker's offer:
£10,500
Jess says she didn't expect the offer to go up that much, and she says she's never had any money really.
Jess says
NO DEAL
Round 3
Jess talks about how she's studying to be a social worker.
18 - Bob - £35,000
9 - George - 50p
Noel says the game had a shocking start but has made a recovery.
5 - Neville - £750
Banker time
The banker says this is a very balanced board and is almost symmetrical.
Banker's offer:
£13,013
Jess says she didn't think she'd be offered that, and she had a gut feeling it'd be a game where the reds went first. Nick asks Jess if she feels positive, and she says she does, but she talks about having a slice of the cake rather than all the cake. John says Jess could eat a whole cake! Sam says she just has to lose a couple of reds for the board to be decimated. Jess says she could pay off her student debts with that offer, and she could also do other things she wanted to do, and she says she just wants a go on the catapult!
The banker rings and says if Jess deals, he'll definitely let her have a go on the catapult.
Jess says
DEAL
Noel says this will be fascinating, and Jess gets everyone to wish her luck as she hopes she's made the right decision.
Round 4 - proveout

20 - Janine - £250,000
19 - Aaron - £500
8 - Rachael - £5,000

John says that's a good deal, because it'd only cost £1,000 if she used 4 shots and got the holiday.
Jess has a practice shot and misses, but she says she liked using the catapult!
Jess is having 1 SHOT on the catapult which will cost her £250.
Noel says he thinks he's found Ann Widdecombe's brain in the box of brains.
Jess takes the shot and misses.
Her total winnings are £12,763.
