Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Rich's Deal or No Deal Game Report 22/08/11

Rich has box 17. Rich is from Bristol and is a live-in carer, and he talks about what he does in his job. Rich says he feels really nervous but is also loving this! He shows a pic of his partner Ray while they were on holiday, and Ray is also in the audience today. He also shows a pic of his family at Christmas, and an old B&W pic of his nan and granddad. He admits he can't remember the name of his granddad, and the banker rings and asks if it's Frank and Rich says maybe it is.

Round 1
Rich says he has sticky armpits because he used hair-spray instead of deodorant by mistake!

Banker time
The banker makes fun of Gary as he doesn't know his granddad's name either! The banker wonders if viewers who are grandparents are wondering if their grandchildren remember their names!

Rich says that's a reasonable offer, then he carries on before Noel's asked the question! The banker rings and wonders how to loosen the lighting rig above Rich.

Rich forgets the question again, so the audience shout "FRANK" at him.

The banker says he has to consider Rich having a high red in his box.

Banker's offer:

Sharleen says she knows Rich is a gambler, and the banker rings and he knows Rich would say it's worth going on if 3 big values were there. Rich hints at making the offer £8,000.

Banker's offer:
£7,999

The banker says the cheapest he's bought the £250k for is £8,000, and he loved it.

Rich says

Rich's partner says Rich has faced financial hardship lately, and he should think about this offer, but he says it's his decision.

Banker time
The banker says he realises this is Rich's real-life and not just gameplay.

Dave says he'd definitely go on, and Paul says Rich probably has to be prepared to go to the end.

Banker time with £10,000 and £50,000 remaining...

Banker's offer:
£26,000

Noel says the banker has to reach for the governor offer when the player poses a problem. Rich says he thinks the £50k is in his box, and £10k would be £10k more than he has at the moment. Dave says Rich is in a win-win situation, and Rich says he thinks he can make money from the £26k.

Rich says
NO DEAL

Noel says Rich's game will generate discussion as some people will believe he should've dealt, but others will recognise why Rich gambled.

Rich wins £10,000 from his box 17.

Box 19 with Berni contains the £50,000

Rich says he's had an amazing experience and he had to take the chance.

Good game update though; thanks for it. I wonder how a young man of Rich's age got himself into such apparent financial trouble?
