Paul's Game Report

Noel talks about the 'strange' bunch of contestants on the wings at the moment!! He also says it's one all at the moment between the contestants/banker at the start of the New Year.

It' Paul's turn in the 'Crazy Chair' and he has box 1 today, and he nearly breaks the table while taking his seat!!

Paul says he is lucky in life with friends and family, but is more controlled in the risk side of things regarding money. He has a dream of setting up his own T-Shirt business with his flatmate, hopefully a nice win today will help fulfil that. Noel tells us the last time that box 1 was on the table was Donna's game when it had the £250,000 and she was heavily influenced by others....

Round 1
10 - £250,000 It's a horrible start
6 - £100
17 - £500
8 - 10p
12 - 50p

It's a great recovery after the first box!! Paul says he thinks he has come across as a no dealer while on the wings when answering questions to fellow contestants. The banker thought Paul was trying to impress the banker while on the wings by saying no deal lots of times, but he really impressed the banker with his NO COMMENT in yesterday's game, and so the banker offers £8,800. Paul says NO DEAL.

Round 2
20 - £75,000 Groans for another of the power 5
22 - £10,000 a few more groans
11 - £5

The banker calls and offers £10,800, Paul wants a sweep, but a little advice from Craig first who says there are still a couple of rounds in the game, Paul says NO DEAL.

Round 3
16 - £20,000 groans all around
7 - £5,000 a few more groans
2 - £50,000 Big groans for the that one

Noel says that the £100,000 is still there for Paul to help set-up his business. The banker offers £11,900, Paul asks the pilgrims to stand if they think he should deal, only a couple do, and Paul says NO DEAL.

Round 4
Chants of BLUE BLUE BLUE start
4 - £1 Cheers for the blue
More chants of BLUE
3 - £750 more cheers
More chants and Noel asks for LOUDER chants to continue while we have a commercial break...
15 - £15,000 Groans for yet another red

Noel says there is no safety net now, and the banker wants Paul to be sensible now, he then offers Paul £10,000. Paul goes to Elton who says he can squeeze out another round from that board and the banker calls back!! Paul speaks to him and says he has a sense of humour, he tells him to take the offer and if he doesn't there is a T-Shirt slogan for him of 'I am a member of the 1p club'!! Paul says NO DEAL.

Round 5
18 - £3,000
Chants of blue
21 - £10 cheers for the blue
Chants of blue
13 - £1,000

The banker calls and says if Paul turns down this next offer Noel will get a T-Shirt with ' I'm with stupid' on it!!! He offers £20,000, Noel does his 'when will you ever get this chance again line...' Paul says NO DEAL.

Round 6
19 - 1p BIG CHEERS
Noel tells Paul to keep focused
9 - £50 Big Cheers again as newbie Dennis delivers a blue
14 - £35,000

It's time for the banker with £250 and £100,000 remaining.

This will be interesting says Noel, he tells the banker Paul has real courage, the banker says to tell Paul he is a banker through and through and offers £25,000.

Noel calls it a tough offer, Dennis says he's really testing him now. Thanh says it's too much of a risk. Paul asks if the board can be removed so he can think about the offer and not be distracted by the amounts on it, Noel gets the values removed from the board, after a bit of thought Paul says DEAL.

Noel opens Paul's box 1 and reveals £100,000!! Box 5 contains the £250. OUCH says Paul that hurt!!
