Phyli's Deal or No Deal Game Report 26/12/10 - Scrooge or Santa Christmas Specials

Noel welcomes us to the winter wonderland of the studio and hopes we're having a great Christmas. He talks about yesterday's amazing game, when Ant won £75,000.

Phyli has box 18. Phyli says she designs her own clothes and is setting up her own online shop. Noel says he's a fashion icon so he understands all of it. Phyli talks about the types of clothes that she designs, and says she'd like to win some money to invest in her business.

Phyli shows some photos, including one of her Dad who died in 1998, and she gets quite emotional when talking about him. We also see a pic of Phyli's mum, a pic of Phyli's husband, and a photo of her two boys. Noel says Phyli is a successful singer and enjoys writing songs.

Round 1
Noel explains the Scrooge or Santa twist that takes place at the 5-box stage. There are 3 snowmen and 2 of them have a Santa and 1 has a Scrooge, find the Santa and the contestant gets an offer after every box in the final round, but find the Scrooge and the Banker gets to look inside the contestant's box and the final round continues in the usual 3 box style. There is also a Christmas tree where the contestant gets to the chance to win a holiday.

The banker phones and wishes everyone a Happy Boxing Day. He says he didn't like Christmas Day as he paid out £75,000! Noel gets out a gold envelope which has a holiday in it, and the banker says Phyli can give the holiday to another player if the 1p is found in this round.

Phyli talks about how she'll keep 7, 10 and 14 to the end. She then goes through the star signs of the contestants and uses this to chose the boxes!

6 - Maz - £3,000
21 - Rina - £50,000
Phyli says this is OK.

Banker time
Phyli doesn't get to donate the holiday as she didn't find the 1p. The banker says we never found out the destination of yesterday's holiday on the Christmas tree, and it'll be a Christmas mystery. Phyli asks if the banker will add another £50,000 on top, and the banker phones back and asks if it'd mean if this game would be over if he did that. He says he's worried what will happen if Phyli finds the Scrooge later, as he doesn't want a mind game with her. He says the offer remains at what it was.

Phyli says

Noel says that was the best possible start. The banker says no gift boxes are being attached to these offers.
