Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Jon G's Deal or No Deal Game Report

Noel hopes we've all had a great Bank Holiday... He talks about how the banker has changed things for the next month! He goes along the wings and tells all the ladies that they can relax, as they won't be playing for the next 2 weeks!! It's ONLY the men for the next 2 weeks, and then it will be 2 weeks of the ladies...


It’s Jon’s turn to take the walk of wealth today, and he does so with box 18. Jonathon is from Essex, and is a management accountant, he explains the job is not very exciting, and he's not that good with numbers!!! He goes on to tell us he likes poker, and Noel asks for his poker face! Noel says that the banker likes to play against the poker players... Jon doesn't have a target, and will play his game based on the board...

Round 1
17 - £50
12 - £35,000 A few ohhhhs for that, and Jon says at least the board is neat and tidy
15 - 50p
16 - £750
Daniel next, and Noel asks what he feels about his box, he thinks it's a red and Jon should come back to him later... Jon decides to leave him
4 - £250 Newbie Kathy

The £35,000 was a blow, but after that it was great says Noel, and he then introduces Jon's friend who is in the audience. Noel talks to the banker about poker, and the banker says he is not interested in poker anymore, as they allow anyone to play now!! Noel says the banker thinks that Jon will push up the average for the males, and do really well today... He then offers £8,800… Jon says NO DEAL

Round 2
10 - 10p
5 - £3,000
Jon predicts that Noel will call a break, and Noel replies that if he wants a break he will call a break... Noel goes along the wings to ask if they would like a break, and then picks on Ron because of his loud shirt!!! It's time for the viewer competition, and today is box 2 containing £20,000…

Jon says that £10,000 down now will be a good box...
9 - £100,000 OH NO shouts Noel...

Jon talks about it's ideal really to keep either the £75,000, or the £100,000, and he still has the £75,000 so he is comfortable at the moment... The Banker offers £10,000… Noel asks Jon what his first reaction was, and Jon replies it was about what he was thinking the offer would be... Jon says NO DEAL

Round 3
6 - 10
3 - £250,000 That is a disaster says Jon
14 - £500

Jon asks if he can speak to the banker, and the banker declines!! Jon says well it's his loss if he doesn't, and the banker replies, "Am I bovered"!!! He then offers £1,300… Jon says NO DEAL

Round 4
13 - £100
7 - £1
Noel talks about Jon's gambling on the horses, and Jon says he only really bets on the big races, but he has done really well on them...
21 - £5

Now we have a great game says Noel... The banker talks about the power of luck, and it was an against the odds round... The Banker offers £17,500… Jon says it's a very good offer, and being honest the 1p could still be in my box... Jon says NO DEAL

Round 5
11 - £10,000 That's good says Noel
19 - £15,000 You're doing this the hard way says Noel
20 - £75,000

Jon thinks he can predict the banker's offer now, and writes it down on a piece of paper... Noel says he doesn't think he's far off really, and £44,000 is not unheard of at this point!!! The Banker offers £10,000.01… Jon was slightly under, and predicted £9,500... Noel talks about the gambler's regret now, and if he deals and finds out he could have won more, he would regret that decision... Jon says NO DEAL

Round 6
That was a brave gambler's decision there says Noel...
1 - £20,000 Now that has made this a dangerous round says Noel
8 - £5,000 You're doing this the hard way says Noel
22 - 1p The whole studio goes wild

It’s time for the Banker with £1,000 and £50,000 remaining… You did that the hard way says Noel, and why couldn't you have started that round with Ron!!! The banker says he had already made his mind up what the offer would be before the round began!!! He offers £9,500… It's the offer Jon predicted in the previous round, and the banker is trying to make a point to Jon says Noel... Jon asks for a sweep... Siobhan says that Jon knows what he is going to do, so why ask, and Jon agrees… Jon says NO DEAL

The banker calls back and offers the SWAP, and Jon immediately takes the SWAP...

Noel swaps box 18 for box 2 and reveals £50,000
The whole studio and contestants go wild
Box 18 contains the £1,000
