Maryanne's Deal or No Deal Game Report 15/11/10

Noel says we're a week away from the 5th birthday celebrations, and he says we'll have an orgy of nostalgic moments next week.

Maryanne has box 4. Maryanne is a travel agent but is also training to be a lecturer in training and tourism. She has her partner in the audience today. She shows a pic of her nana, who made her apply for the show, but sadly passed away recently. Maryanne explains she also has her nana's wedding ring with her. She has a card with her and a letter for the banker that her daughter made. Maryanne says her daughters think the banker will be nice if they're good.

Round 1
Maryanne has lots of lucky numbers.
10 - Kim -£15,000
7 - Adam - £3,000
Fred now, and Noel has a go at him for sounding off about chicken roundabouts in yesterday's game.
11 - Fred - £1
12 - Kat - £10,000
Noel reminds us that the banker's ideal first round is the 5 low reds, and Maryanne's taken 3 of them. Newbie Nat now, and she tells us a story about how she met Simon Cowell in a toilet at a pyjama party.
2 - newbie Nat - £50

The banker says today's newbie's story is much better than Fred's chicken roundabout stuff.

Banker's offer:
£10,000

1 - Kirsty - £50,000

Banker time
Noel says that was the first ghastly round of the game. He says you have to be courageous to get the big money. The banker talks about the letter Maryanne's daughter wrote to him, and he says it almost pulled at his heart.

Banker's offer:
£13,000

Noel asks Maryanne's partner who says you only live once and Maryanne says she feels lucky. Her partner says she can't take both big ones out, then says actually she can! The banker phones and says that's a good reason not to listen to him.

Maryanne says
NO DEAL

Round 5
Noel says this is a pivotal moment in the game. Maryanne chooses box 21 with Elli, and the banker phones and talks about Maryanne's daughter's letter, and says he thinks Maryanne's made a massive mistake. He reminds Maryanne that box 21 was on the front of the letter.
22 - Shaun - £250,000
21 - Elli - £20,000
Noel says that's the backup gone, and the game's being transformed.
18 - Glenn - £500

Banker time
The banker says it's important that Maryanne listens to herself this time, and the decisions she make should be hers. He says every time she asks for advice, he'll reduce the offer by £500, and whenever anyone offers advice, he'll reduce the offer by £500! Maryanne asks if we're in a library now.
