Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Gavin's Deal or No Deal Game Report

Noel describes the week as a rollercoaster week with the highs of Maria and Lynn, and with Igor’s 2p win sandwiched in between them. He goes on to talk about Lynn's game yesterday and how he was convinced she would deal at £17,499, but she totally shocked him and the whole studio with her decision to play on and get a great result.

It’s Gavin’s turn to take the walk of wealth today, and he does so with box 19. Noel reveals that Gavin is a police officer, which gets some groans from the pilgrims!! He tells Noel that he does some beat work while on duty, and Noel asks if that is that thing that police used to do in the past!! Gavin shows a pic of him and his girlfriend, and tells Noel that he keeps getting asked by family and friends when they will be getting married....

Round 1
Gavin says he will unleash the beast that is Brian later in the game
3 - £5,000
2 - £15,000
6 - £1,000
5 - £35,000 Groans for that one
11 - £50 Big cheers for the only blue of the round...

Noel asks Gavin what he thinks of the banker, and he replies he is there to do a job and save some brass… The banker says he has a long list of evidence to use against Gavin, and he says he is a fan of marriage and wonders what Gavin would say if he offered him £20,000 on the condition of marrying his girlfriend!! His actual offer is £8,500… Noel asks if 19 means anything to Gavin, and he replies none of the numbers really do... Gavin says NO DEAL

Round 2
15 - £20,000 Groans for that one
Gavin says he could do with a trumpet from Norman now, and asks for a blue
22 - 10p
Noel asks how big Norman's repertoire is, and Norman replies it's quite large, so Noel asks for a police theme.... Norman obliges…
8 - £75,000 Big groans

That is exactly what we didn't want says Noel... Noel asks Gavin about a car accident that he had while on duty, and Gavin describes it to everyone and how he was off for 2 months recovering, but that it didn't put him off returning to the force... The Banker offers £12,500… Gavin says he didn't think he would be twitching after the second round, and he goes to Rossano for advice... Rossano says it's still a strong board, and the banker will still be concerned about it... Gavin says NO DEAL

Round 3
12 - £3,000 Some groans for that one...
Noel says we need to start hitting these blues now... Gavin thinks about Brian next, and Noel says I am sure I've seen him on a NOT wanted poster!!!
13 - £250,000 You did unleash the beast says Noel...
10 - £500

Noel tries to remain positive by telling Gavin that there is still big money on the board. The banker has a pop at Rossano about his earlier comments, and he's marking his file!! The banker says it's a game of 2 coppers, one in the chair and one at the top of the board... He offers £7,100… Noel tells Gavin that he has had a string of good offers from the banker... Gavin says NO DEAL

Round 4
14 - £50,000 More groans
Noel says this is quite amazing to reach this point and only have discovered 3 blues
21 - 50p Cheers and applause
Noel calls it a one-box game now, and says this is very rare to have so many blues left at this time... Noel asks if he would like any of the lucky accessories to help? Gavin asks for the lucky wig, and asks Brian to wear it! Brian takes off his hat and puts it on.
1 - £1 Big cheers

Noel tells Gavin that he will have to expect a low offer here now... The banker says that the blue was Brian's fault, and offers £4,400… There are groans for the offer, but Gavin says he was expecting that... Gavin then goes to Rossano who confirms it's a gambling board now, but he will be unlucky to take both reds out next... Gavin says NO DEAL

Round 5
16 - £10,000 Big groans as only the £100,000 remains in the reds...
17 - £750 Big cheers
9 - 1p

Noel says the banker will give Gavin a big problem now... The banker says he would not want to be Gavin now, but Noel tells him that box 19 could still contain the £100,000... The banker says he bought the £100,000 box from Christine for £6,000, and aims to beat that bargain now! He offers £5,999… The banker wants to beat Christine's deal... Gavin says the offer would make a difference to him, and would enable him to help in girlfriend out in her career... Vicky offers some advice, and says if you can keep that red in the next offer will be mega... Gavin says DEAL

Round 6 - Proveout round
18 - £5 It was the perfect start says Noel
20 - £100,000
7 - £10

It’s time for The Banker with £100 and £250 remaining, and he would have offered £150… Gavin says he would have carried on there...

Noel opens Gavin’s box 19 and reveals £250
Box 4 contains the £100
