Mary's Deal or No Deal Game Report 26/11/10 - 5th Birthday Specials

The show starts with a video of Noel walking through the reception area of DoND, and Noel is dressed up as the various staff members, including the box painter, a cameraman, a soundman, the make-up woman and other staff members.

Today the show reaches the climax of the 5th birthday week specials, and we get promised the usual mix of special guest, nostalgia and twists and turns, that we have got used to this week.

Noel says there have been 1,468 shows, and he gives some other stats, including how the banker has paid out a massive £22,666,326.75 since the show began!

Mary has box 9. Mary has trouble sitting at the chair. Mary is a retired china-shop worker, and she lives in Manchester. She tells a story of how she was born in southern Ireland and she ended up in Manchester. She introduces us to her daughter who is in the audience today, and she says she wants to split any winnings with her today. We get to see an old B&W pic of Mary with her late husband. Mary says she's ready for another one and she wants to buy a man!

We now get to see a montage of clips from Year 1 of DoND...

Noel welcomes ex-contestant Lynn to the VIP area today, and she has another chance to win a holiday with her. Noel chats to Lynn, who was the first ever contestant. She says she had no idea the show would be so successful, and says it's so surreal to be back, even after 5 years.

Mary has to choose a box to go into the VIP area. Mary chooses box 12 with Glenn. Glenn joins Lynn in the VIP area. Noel will open box 12 and when Mary chooses it, Lynn and Glenn have to guess its contents. If one of them gets it right, then Mary wins a holiday. She also gets an instant offer from the banker.
