Deal or No Deal although initially appearing very simple in format of just opening a few boxes for the chance to win some big money prizes, actually has some potentially complex decisions to be made at points throughout the show, the contestants occasionally try complex or simple gameplay in an attempt to give them an edge in beating the Banker.

Poppy's Deal or No Deal Game Report 12/06/11

Poppy has Box 20 today. Poppy's real name is Beatrice Watson, but she's called Poppy for being born on Poppy Day. She is from Kettering and is retired. She works for the local voluntary service now. She has a photo of her aged 14 as an evacuee during the war; her siblings and her were split into groups, and all sent different places in the area. She also has a photo of her wedding, and another of her late husband. She gets a bit emotional. She has some other relatives for support.

Ted next, and he says he can't grumble.

Banker time.
The Banker is excited by Poppy and says the hotel bar owner won't be happy she's leaving! The Banker talks about black taxis, and he likes to hold up laminated numbers to make people think he's on Come Dine With Me!

Banker time.
That's brilliant, says Noel. He says that Poppy likes the Banker's cheeky side, and they could be away with each other! The Banker says he likes that idea!

Newbie Andy next, and Noel says he has a rubbish sense of humour. He tells a joke about Bonnie Tyler!

Oh dear, says Noel. Noel says Poppy passed her driving test at 54!

Oh what, says Noel. You could do the second worst round possible!

Banker time.
Noel talks about what Poppy will do with her winnings. The Banker is nervous, as he hasn't been wooing for a long time! He asks questions about modern wooing! John talks about wooing a girl via dancing in the old days!

G next, and he talks about Poppy's behaviour in the bar!

The Banker says Charlie should mind his behaviour with Poppy! The music didn't change, he says.

Noel says this is a romantic game! He wants Poppy to have the last laugh.

What were the chances of that, says Noel. The Banker says it was 1 in 56. He says Poppy had two left feet in that dance.
