Shaun's Deal or No Deal Game Report 16/02/11 - Love Week Specials

Shaun has box 1.

Shaun is from Sheffield and is a coffee shop owner. He talks about the business and how things have been a bit tough but talks about some loyal customers he has. We get to see a pic of Shaun's mum and uncle from when he visited his hometown. He also shows a pic of his other half and their newly born baby, and he introduces us to his siblings and friend who are in the audience today.

Round 1
Shaun says he's keeping some numbers that mean things to him.

The banker phones and says the Shield of Destiny will be put in front of the player that Shaun nominates, and when that player's box is opened, he'll get an immediate offer and they'll possibly get a romantic holiday. Shaun decides to give the Shield to Patricia. Shaun tells a story of how he knew Patricia from when she worked at Bluewater shopping centre!

£7,950

Shaun says you've got to respect that.

NO DEAL

9 - Debbie - £10,000

10 - Danielle - £250,000

Banker time
The banker says how much he likes Franca, as she said her box felt smooth and leathery, much like the banker.

Banker's offer:
£5,250

Shaun says
NO DEAL

Round 4
Shaun says he'd like to get a cruise for his mum and dad.
22 - Nick - £1,000

21 - Big Al - £250

Banker time
The banker says he finds Shaun to read as he oozes good nature, unlike him.

Banker's offer:
£11,250

Noel says it's not a stable board but has a lot of potential for a gambler. Shaun reminds himself that he can still play the Shield, and Dylan says he'd open one more box before using the shield.

Shaun says
NO DEAL

Round 5
Noel says the last offer was a very clever one.
19 - Carol - £750
Shaun goes for Patricia with the Shield, and he'll get an offer after her box is opened. She can now win a holiday if she correctly guesses what's in her box. She asks her husband in the audience to guess, and strikes a deal where if he gets the number wrong, he'll take her on holiday anyway! Her husband guesses £15,000.
7 - Patricia - £1
Patricia doesn't win the holiday.

Banker time

Banker's offer:
£22,000

Noel reminds Shaun that he's only got one more box before the end of the round and the next offer.

Shaun says
NO DEAL

Round 5 - part 2

18 - Vicki - £20,000

Banker time

Banker's offer:
£20,000

Shaun says that's a very business-like offer. The others say Shaun could still go on and win £75k or £100k and Noel says it's been a while since someone had an amazing finish like £75k and £100k.

The banker phones and says he'd have probably declined the last offer like Shaun, but there's no way he'd turn down this offer as he's a businessman and no dealing here wouldn't be a calculated gamble.

Shaun says
DEAL

Round 6 - proveout
Shaun says he was really tempted to go on, and the banker has been very clever.
17 - Vel - £5,000
16 - Paul - £15,000
Noel says this is on course to be an unmitigated disaster!
13 - Kitty - 10p

Banker time with £75,000 and £100,000 remaining...

Noel says Shaun walked away from the 2nd best finish possible. He says the banker's good at what he does, as he has saved at least £55,000 by phoning back to taunt Shaun into dealing!

Banker's offer would've been:
£86,000

Shaun has £75,000 in his box 1.

Box 15 with Peter contains the £100,000

Noel says he knows Shaun has been missing his family, so he says hats off to him for achieving a great result.
