Detrix's Deal or No Deal Game Report 28/12/10 - Scrooge or Santa Christmas Specials

Noel says he's having an absolute ball so far with this year's Christmas specials, and he says they didn't start very well but we've had some sensational games in the last few shows.

Noel explains the Scrooge or Santa twist that takes place at the 5-box stage. There are 3 snowmen and 2 of them have a Santa and 1 has a Scrooge, find the Santa and the contestant gets an offer after every box in the final round, but find the Scrooge and the Banker gets to look inside the contestant's box and the final round continues in the usual 3 box style. There is also a Christmas tree where the contestant gets to the chance to win a holiday.

Detrix has box 4. Detrix has a soft-toy owl with him which his mum gave him when he was very young, and he's always had it. He also has a bangle with him which his girlfriend gave him. Detrix has his girlfriend's sister in the audience today. We get to see a pic of his mum, and he says she's a massive inspiration to him. Noel picks up on the fact that Detrix would like to become a professional gambler.

Round 1
20 - Julie - £750
9 - Grace - 50p
Noel says this is a contrast to yesterday.
17 - Sobia - £50
1 - Tracey - £5,000
18 - Jenna - £10

Banker time
The banker talks about the pic of Detrix's mum and how half of it's missing, and he says he's found the other half of it. He shows it on the gameboard and it's a picture of Noel.

Banker's offer:
£12,500

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 2
6 - Betty - 1p
13 - Lucie - £100
Noel says this is the best board at this stage that he can remember this year. Noel says Detrix's block of reds is in contrast to yesterday's game.
22 - Jim - £250,000

Banker time
The banker says that's what you get for empty threats, referring to how Detrix threatened the banker just before the break.

Banker's offer:
£9,000

Detrix says that's very respectable.

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 3
3 - Hannah - £3,000
2 - Marilyn - 10p
11 - Andy - £1,000

Noel talks about the Christmas tree of holidays, and he says we still don't know what Christmas Day's holiday destination was.
10 - newbie Matty - £20,000

Banker time
The banker says Detrix has a healthy block of reds. Noel goes to the tree and reveals that today's holiday is a week for 2 in Ibiza, which Detrix could have the opportunity of winning. Detrix says Ibiza is a lovely place.

Banker's offer:
£15,000 + holiday is guaranteed

Noel says the banker really wants Detrix out of here.

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 5
7 - Dave - £10,000
12 - Maz - £100,000
16 - Ian - £50,000

Santa vs Scrooge time

Noel says that was a painful round. The banker phones up and says Maz shouldn't worry that she's ruined the game!

Detrix chooses the YELLOW snowman and it has SANTA

The RED snowman also contains the SANTA

The GREEN snowman contains the SCROOGE

Banker time
Detrix now gets an offer after every box as he found SANTA.

Banker's offer:
£15,000

Noel says that's a good offer but he only has 1 box to open. Detrix asks his girlfriend's sister and she says it might be worth a go.

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 6 - part 1
8 - David - £75,000

Banker time

Noel says that was the worst possible outcome. The banker says Detrix has £35,000 + 3 blues, which is what Brian had at this point yesterday.

Banker's offer:
£4,000 + 2 gift boxes

Noel compares that to Brian's offer of £5k + 1 box at this point yesterday. Detrix asks his girlfriend's sister and she says it's good but he could have £35k on the table.

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 6 - part 2
21 - Mia - £1

Banker time
The banker says that was the worst result for him.

Banker's offer:
£8,000 + 2 gift boxes

Noel reminds us of how Brian got £8,250 + 1 box, and dealt and gave back £250 to have an extra chance of the holiday. The others ask Detrix if he'll regret going away with £5 if it went wrong.

Detrix says
NO DEAL

Round 6 - part 3
19 - Irene - £5

Banker time with £500 and £35,000 remaining

The banker says that was reckless as it was against the odds!

Banker's offer:
£16,000

The others tell Detrix that dropping from £16,000 to £500 would be a big drop, if it went wrong. Haroon says no-one's going to give Detrix £16,000 in the street.

Detrix says
DEAL

Detrix has £500 in his box 4

Box 15 with Haroon contains the £35,000

Noel doubts Detrix's ambition to be a professional gambler!
