Rob's Deal or No Deal Game Report 04/07/10

Noel says everyone's revved up and ready for today's game. He says there's an atmosphere of courage at the moment, and he runs through some of the phobias the east wing has, including Carly who's frightened of bananas and Imani who's frightened of armpits because she doesn't like the 2nd part of the word!

Rob has box 7. Rob is a firefighter, and Noel says firefighters often win big on the show! He says how much he loves his job, and shows a pic of him with his colleagues. Noel gets everyone to do a round of applause for firefighters up and down the country. Rob also shows a pic of him and his colleagues at a fancy dress party, and a pic of his wife and daughter.

Maria first, and Noel comments on how she's suddenly speaking more!

Noel says that was an interesting opening round. The banker says he can't cope with firemen! He says he's excited by the newbie, as he put out a plea for attractive women to be cast on the show!

Rob says he has no system, except to keep 21 to the end. Dennis now, and Noel makes fun of his yellow top again.

The banker says that was a relief! He says he can't describe the fear that firefighters bring him...

Noel says normally the banker would cut the offer here by 50%, and Rob says it's a fantastic offer. Noel says that's quite unprecedented...

Noel has some banter with Dai about whether he's ever caught fire!

Noel says this is a one box game already, in terms of the big money. The banker says he always personalises the offers, and he's ruminating over this one...

Noel says the banker said that if Rob wants the big money, then his brave decision is now. Noel says it's unprecedented to get 2 sticks after the damage to the board.

Carly now and Noel has some banter with her about why she's scared of bananas.

Noel says Rob is very resourceful, and he tells a story how when they got married, their reception got flooded! So Rob phoned up every company in the area, and managed to find a hotel which could host the reception, and he says he'd like to renew his wedding vows and have a stress-free time doing it!

Banker time
Noel says he thinks the banker would normally offer a low offer here, but he won't with Rob. But the banker says he's very tempted to offer just £1,000!

Banker's offer:
£13,750

The banker says he's rewarding the courage that Rob showed when he no dealt the last offer. Noel says that offer is a lifeline, but it depends if Rob is an OHO, and Rob says he is only here once, and has been known to take gambles in his time. He talks about what he could do with the £100,000, and the banker phones back and talks to him. Rob says the banker said that he should take the money and go, but Rob says he's not being intimidated by that.

The banker phones back and says he didn't try to intimidate Rob. Rob says if he rounds the offer to £15,000 then he'll think about it!

Rob has £3,000 in his box 7.

Ovie gets confused and lets out a massive cheer, so Noel gets him to apologise to Rob, and Noel chucks him out of the studio.

Box 21 with Ovie (opened by Rob!) contains the £250

Noel says the way people deal with courage and also disappointment says a lot about them.
