David's Deal or No Deal Game Report 04/10/11

David has box 16. Noel has a strange costume and a stick, and says we'll hear about it later! David lives in Yorkshire and talks about how he set up a care centre for people with learning disabilities 17 years ago, but recently had to stop due to local government cutbacks. We get to see one of David's paintings as he does some painting, and we see a pic of his children. He also shows a pic of the Morris dancing group he's a member of. David has his wife in the audience today, and Noel talks to her about Morris dancing.

Round 1
David goes for Joycey but calls her Jodie!
9 - Joycey - £50
5 - Smah - £750
Noel and David do a spot of Morris dancing!
3 - Andy - £10,000

Round 2
David makes a joke about line-dancers, and the banker rings up and says he might use that joke! Noel gets David to put his Morris dancing outfit on, and talks about his stick and how it fends off evil spirits! He then talks about how sometimes other Morris dancing teams nick each others' sticks. Noel gets out some tissues and starts waving them about and he and David do some more dancing.
18 - Sheila - £1,000
10 - Mark - 50p
8 - Katie - 10p

Banker time
The banker tells a lengthy Morris dancing joke, which Noel relays to everyone.

Banker's offer:
£12,000

David says that money would make a big difference, but says the board makes it worth going on.

David says
NO DEAL

Round 3
12 - John - 1p
John says he's probably upset the banker by revealing the 1p, but he doesn't care as everyone else is happy! The banker rings up and orders John to be chucked out. The camera then shows John sitting on his own outside, and Noels says he looks like a garden gnome! Noel gives John the stick to hold and says he looks like a gnome who's fishing.
2 - Jess - £100,000
John is still outside! Noel says they'll be doing some proper Morris dancing in a while...
20 - Woody - £5,000

Banker time
The banker wonders whether he should make a really good offer to get a deal, or if he should make a lower offer so David will go on and take out the £250k.

Banker's offer:
£10,000

Andy says he thinks there's at least one more round in the game, and the others agree.

David says
NO DEAL

Round 4

4 - Parvinder - £10

Banker time
The banker talks about the psychology that David has brought to the game, and how David and his wife want some money for themselves after helping others.

Banker's offer:
£21,000

David's wife says there's a temptation to go on as there are some big values left. David says he's seen some fabulous games but the last one was heart-breaking. Bill says it's a good offer for the board and thinks David could decimate the board, and David says it's a lot of money and it's a hard decision. The banker rings and says he agrees with Captain Bird's Eye.

David says
NO DEAL

Round 5
Noel says those who follow the show will know that you have to be fully confident when you gamble.

Banker's offer:
£17,000

David's wife says this is a real gamble now and that he should seriously think about it. Noel says David's got the classic dilemma now, as he's created a shopping list of what he'd do with the money.

Box 15 with Nicki contains the £50,000

David says he played the game the way he wanted to, and would've gone on if he'd had bigger values left on the board.

The banker rings and says he's happy, and everyone's happy, except John who is still holding his fishing rod outside!
