Noel welcomes us to the start of a new week, and this week will see the 1,300th show. Noel says he can count on one hand the number of people who have come for just the £250,000, and Beryl did just that yesterday.

Tom has box 18 today. Tom is a youth worker from London. Tom explains about his job and how in the first part of his life he wasn't very pleasant to a number of people, but one day went to a fete with someone and found religion and it changed his life forever, and he now helps young people in his job. We get to see a picture of tom and his wife and Tom starts to get very emotional about it, he then introduces his wife who is in the audience for support.

Adam tells Tom that he doesn't think the next offer will be a big enough increase to risk playing on unless he is prepared to play all the way and open his box.
