Steven's Deal or No Deal Game Report

Noel in flower mode again with his shirt choice today, not so bright today though! Noel says this is one of the best weeks ever for the banker, in that he has only paid out just over £6,000. He hopes for a bigger win today, and a player who is determined to pull off that victory.

It’s Steven’s turn in the crazy chair today, and he has box 8. Steven Norman from Kent, works for an accountancy firm, and Noel says it's another financial battle with the banker... We get to see a photo of Steven's friends, and one of them is in the audience for support today, we also get to see a photo of his mum.

Round 1
Steven has a few lucky numbers which is he keeping until the end
3 - 1p Big cheers for the perfect start
14 - £10,000
19 - £50
Tess next and she is a little worried about the banker's health with all the illness going around the studio...
1 - £100
22 - £1

Great, that is a marvellous start says Noel. The banker says he is on a roll and this is going to be his greatest week ever, he also says that Steven could be a tricky opponent. He has looked in Steven's file and checked out the advice he has given other contestants, he makes an opening offer of £17,500. The banker gives a VAT offer!! He has noticed that Steven's advice was to always tell the contestants to think what the money meant to them, Steven says NO DEAL

Round 2
20 - £10
Steven goes to Rich, and asks if he has any feelings about his box!! Noel says mystic mess is the not the best at getting these right! He thinks he has a large red
1 - £20,000 Rich was right
4 - £500 Big cheers as newbie Jamie delivers a blue

One tiny glitch in the round says Noel, and Steven says he is very pleased with the game so far. Steven reveals that he had a dream about having a chat with the banker in a shopping centre! The banker says he is not a hoody and doesn't hang around shopping centres!!! He has noticed on the file that Steven said he would carry on playing as long as 3 of the power 5 were in play, and he did think of offering swaps all through the game!!! He doesn’t though and offers £23,000. Steven says that is a very nice sum of money and he would always say to think carefully about the offers. He says that if £23,000 were sat in front of him he would grab it and run! Noel replies, well it is, and is a little confused why he doesn't take it then!! Steven says yes, but look at the board with the power 5 intact! Steven says NO DEAL

Round 3
21 - £5,000
7 - £35,000
The blue chants start
18 - 10p Big cheers
Noel wonders how the banker will play it now with the £35,000 going. The banker says it's a very strong board, and offers £27,500. Steven says it's a brilliant offer, and he thought the banker might stick. He asks for a sweep of the contestant’s opinions, and everyone replies No Deal, and he then goes to his friend who also says No Deal. Steven says DEAL… That decision stuns EVERYONE in the studio. Noel says you naughty boy you caught us all out there!! Steven tells Noel that although it goes against what he said earlier about playing on with 3 of the power in play, he had a bad feeling about the next rounds, so didn’t want to risk anything. Noel takes us over to the board to show the dream scenario with 4 of the power 5 remaining, and wonders if Steven has pulled off a great result, or if the banker has one of his biggest victories.

Round 4 – Proveout round
16 - 50p The confused audience clap!! No that was a perfect start says Noel
5 - £3,000 No it would have been fine says Noel
Noel thinks even with the £250,000 going now the offer would have gone up
9 - £1,000

You went too soon says Noel, that would have been a wonderful round. The Banker would have offered £55,000, the whole studio is in shock at that offer. Steven says that he had such a bad feeling about that round, and that is why he dealt, Steven says he would have dealt for £55,000.

Round 5 - Proveout round
12 - £15,000 No, again it's absolutely fine - You could be heading for the hall of fame here for all the wrong reasons says Noel
15 - £75,000 Yes says Noel
17 - £100,000 No, you got the £100,000 but not the big one says Noel

It would have been a disastrous round says Noel, but was it enough? The Banker would have offered £66,000!! Noel says the banker would have had to go up then....

Round 6 - Proveout round
6 - £50 NO, it would have been a great start says Noel
This would have been one of the best games we have ever had if you were still in play says Noel!!
10 - £750 This would have been perfection says Noel
Quarter of a million chants start!!!
11 - £250,000 Big cheers and relief

It’s time for The Banker with £50 and £50,000 remaining.

There is a lot of relief in the studio says Noel, although you blew £55,000 and then £66,000!! The banker would have offered £17,500, and Steven says he is disappointed that he didn't have the courage to play on a couple more rounds

Noel opens Steven’s box 8 and reveals £50,000!

Box 13 contains £5

Noel apologises to us at home, as he expects we all threw stuff at the TV screen when Steven said DEAL!!!
